I have 4 of these solarfoil hoodies now. I have worn these from the mountains to the beach and back. They have been used for mountaineering, canyoneering, paddling, beach, sailing, hiking, and about anything else in between. IF you can catch these on sale or clearance they are a great value. They are quite thin and breath well. They are holding up surprisingly well and so far I haven't put holes or tears in any of them. They are starting to wear some on the tops of my shoulders from extended backpack rub. Compared to other various brand sun hoodies I've been overall happy with these. I do like that the hoods are loose, the neck is breathable and open enough to allow air flow, and that the sleeves are long enough for people like myself that have very long arms. They are breathable and thin, so not great for cold weather which I use different sun hoodies for, BUT in a pinch I have used this as a base layer with a technical jacket in the winter and it was actually pretty good.

I wear these during the hot hot days and I wear them during the cool days they work and keep you cool during the summer and then keep you warm during the winter. I would have one in every color. These are excellent additions to my Eddie Bower wardrobe…

The hoodie is very comfortable, soft and as mentioned true tosize. This is especially important being 6"4" tall.

Useful for the beach and for those hot summer days Dries quickly and does not stretch out of shape

Fits well. Covers hands, neck, head as well as main torso. Light weight, so easy to wear during hot summer days. Drys fast if you get wet. Use while fishing, biking and hiking.

It is so hard to find quality clothing for big and tall men. Eddie Bauer is one of the few places you can find nice clothing at a good price ( when on sale).. These sun hoodies are great.

Purchased for sunny weather. I burn easily but don't like walking around with a bottle of sunscreen covering me. Worked perfect for sunny Florida weather and was light enough to not be uncomfortable.

I bought this to use when riding my motorcycle in the AZ summer sun and heat. The hood can be comfortably worn under my helmet providing full neck coverage as well as "sweat" coverage in the helmet. The thumb holes keep the sleeves from riding up in the wind and keep the arms and wrists covered. The casual/looser fit does result in a little bit of flapping at highway speeds if the shirt is worn by itself. I've ordered one size down in a a tall fit which I think will reduce the flapping. All in all, a great product for wearing in the high temps and sun of AZ.

I purchased the XLT version, but it was huge on me. I returned it to the Eddie Bauer Outlet in San Clemente. LT would be the correct fit, but they did not have it in stock.

Bring back the old style Eddie! This is a newer style of the sun shirt from Eddie Bauer from the sale of the same shirt a couple of years ago. I have six of those shirts from a couple of years ago and love them so I wanted to order a couple more colors, but unfortunately this newer style is made completely differently. It's cut differently in the shoulders and under the armpits, resulting in shorter sleeves that don't fit well. Also, the button on the front of the hoodie is very uncomfortable. All it does is scratch my Adam's apple. It's really unfortunate because a couple of years ago. Eddie Bauer had created the perfect sun shirt and now they've ruined something that was just perfect.
