I wear these pretty much every day in the winter. I wear them for hikes and walking and they make the cold so much more comfortable! They are not bulky and move well so they also work great in hikes. My husband wears them too. They are water resistant so you can sit on snowy rocks or even make snow angels lol. Mine haven't worn out in a few years. I just bought more to rotate when they are on sale.
After wearing jeans and getting rained on in Chicago, I decided for my trip to Ireland and Scotland I wanted something not only warm but waterproof. I was a little nervous that these were going to be very bulky and too much like ski pants, but they are much slimmer than that. They are wonderfully lined with warmth and only slightly add bulk. Most importantly in rainy damp conditions, they kept me warm and dry. I didn't have to worry about sitting on a wet bench or walking through the countryside in the rain.
i really love these pants, they are perfect for walking the dogs in cold temps, i even sometimes wear them around the house since pants never seem warm enough in the colder days of winter anymore! the only thing i' love to see changed is put some stretch in the waistband.
I bought these to wear in Colorado - worded great for skiing - warm and dry all day. Also worked great for sledding when we had to opportunity to get into much more snow and wet - stayed dry and warm all day! They fit great - i am very short-waisted so the only low waisted outdoor pant I've found that i can wear comfortably!
I had these in a size 4, but they were getting tight so I got them in a 6 but they were still too tight, so I had to go up one more size. If you are wider at the waist, you may need to size up because they are a higher of a midrise. Love the cozy lining and pockets on the thigh.
I live in these pants in the winter. I'm a college student, so they're great for walking to class when it's below freezing. Fairly windproof, but I'm not entirely sure about waterproofness. I'm normally a 12 but they tend to run small, so a 14 fit just fine.
The regular fit is a bit too low waisted for a perfect winter fit and the inseam is a hair too short on me; I'm only 5'6" I bought a second pair of these pants because I wear them almost daily for xc skiing. The fleece lining and wind reducing exterior are a good balance for staying warm while exercising vigorously. Pockets are great!
These are good quality pants and I wish I liked them, but they were too small in the waist but then too loose in the legs. Maybe I was just looking for something else. I'm normally a size 10 or 12 and could've exchanged for the 12, but I thought the legs would be too big. I returned.
I love these pants and already owned 2 pair. The two I am reviewing were made differently on the inside where the zipper is. There is a flap of extra fabric there that needs to be shortened and cut back more, as it rubs the inside of my thighs, which wasn't the case with the first two pair I ordered in years past. I'm considering returning them for this reason. Otherwise, they are fantastic pants and I wear the first two I bought all winter long.
Purchased this pair of pants but discovered the lining was undercut in the pant rise. It even folded the outer material under the waistband. Very uncomfortable fit. I own many pairs of the Guide Pro style in high rise and cropped so I was surprised they were not made better.
