Very simple construction, my 8 yr old grandson completed our Taser in 2 days(most of the time was waiting for glue to dry). Great fun launching this rocket, it was my grandson's first. Flying it with max engines is a real blast. My grandson was amazed with how fast and high it flew. Great father/son project.
For a summer fun project I purchased 5 rocket kits for my 5 granddaughters ages 3 to 12. Found each girl a rocket kit for each to build. With the rockets built, we launched on a Saturday morning. Each rocket launhed successfully and were recovered. The girls had fun as well as the Mom's and Dad's. They have asked to do this again next year. And we will.
Rocket and launchpad were both made well. The part that holds the motor was a pain to build with slow-drying glue because it comes in 5 parts that need to be glued together. The launchpad is nice because it is almost fully adjustable, coming with a hole for the pro launch rod. The electric igniter is made well but is hard to use one-handed (which doesn't really matter). Overall it is made well and I fully suggest that you buy it. I bought mine at Hobby Hobby and everything there for rockets is like half price.
rocket is very good cant wait to launch had a very fun time building the only problem is that the decal sometimes has the paper on it
The product page doesn't include any photo of the launch pad or controller, so you may not be clear on the fact that this is a launch set -- a starter kit for model rocketry, if you will. So it's a better value than it appears. However, it does not come with rocket engines or recovery wadding, which you'll have to buy separately (but which Walmart doesn't carry on this site). The model rockets I built when a teenager were made with balsa wood fins and glued entirely with white glue or carpenter's glue. This model features plastic parts and so you'll need plastic model cement, which is harder to find nowadays than it sued to be. You do need a little white glue for gluing the elastic cord into the paper model tube.
