I had no idea how great this Citrus Press was going to be. I thought I'd be getting a cheap, plastic propene polymer type utensil. I was so surprised when I opened the package and got a solid, metal, quality press with rubber rests on the bottom! And I love the color, it's gorgeous. I had no problem squeezing a slightly-hard, not-quite ripe, organic lemon. In the past, there's no way I would have had the strength to squeeze a half a lemon; most of it would have been wasted. I would most likely have had to cut it into wedges. I have small hands and slightly arthritic fingers. This heavy-duty, durable Press did most of the work for me and there was very little pulp left in the lemon shells when I was done squeezing. One lemon yielded approximately 1/4 cup of juice (2 ounces). I am smitten with this Press. It's my new friend and we're going to be bff for a very long time!
I absolutely love this lemon plus. It is slightly larger than the lime press I currently have. My current lime press is similar in design in that it has the two handles that come together to squeeze the juice out of the citrus fruit. however this lemon press has three points of contact to allow it to sit in a stable fashion on your countertop. Each leg of the lemon press has a rubber contact point so that your countertops do not get scratched and the lemon press does not slip and slide on your counters or cutting board or bar top. I absolutely love that and as a result I leave it on my counter all the time. This lemon press also seems like it's pivot point is sturdier and less rickety than my existing one. The other feature I absolutely adore is the fact that this lemon press has two little lips on each side of the lemon juice squeeze reservoir. This is so you can easily tilt the tool to pour the lemon juice directly into your drinks or recipes you may think oh who cares, but actually they have a little strainer that catches the seeds and prevents it from going into your drink as well. I find it super easy to clean I tossed it right in my dishwasher. But the smooth ceramic finish also allows you to easily rinse it in water and put away quickly. this is especially great for the boat because it will not slide off the counters or bar top. as you can see from the picture it's a lovely bright yellow and I also included a picture of the limited lifetime warranty, which is nice to have but frankly I don't think I'd ever use.
Easiest juicer to use. Just put in the halved citrus, and press at the end of the handle. You do not even have to press that hard, the distance from the juicer to the bend of the handle multiplies the force you apply. If however you do have a harder piece of citrus, just microwave 30 to 60 seconds to soften before you juice. For my arthritic hands, this device has been a boon. Love it!
Great invention, I have never had a citrus press and didn’t realize what I was missing, I always did it by my hand had to pick the seeds out. I use lemons a lot and for cooking and in my ice tea this is effortless. Take the lemon cut in half or whatever size you’re using put it in the press tilt it, pours right out no seeds. I love the color the handle fits nicely in your hand, rinse it off and done.
The Tasty Metal Citrus Press with Pour Spouts is very easy to use especially for anyone that has hand or wrist mobility issues. The rubberized grips on the bottom keep it in place making it easier to squeeze citrus fruits without having to use both hands. It is big enough to accommodate the largest of lemons as well as an average size orange. The pour spouts are convenient and mess free. I highly recommend this citrus press!
This citrus squeezer from tasty is a really nice surprise. There's grips at the bottom so when you set it on the table it doesn't roll all over the place with the sticky juice. Very easy to use and one of the least messiest Citrus squeezer's I've used because of the pouring mechanism instead of the holes at the bottom. Has a nice strong handle and I could use it with one hand. I will be using this kitchen tool a lot and will be buying more to gift out to my family. This is useful.
This is a wonderful citrus press. I drink lemon water daily and am very happy with the ease of use and clean-up. No need to hold it over the glass because of the convenient side pour spouts. Just load and slowly squeeze to avoid squirts and then tilt into your glass. Squeeze some more, if your fruit is large you'll see the juice rise in the side pour spouts. The bowl is sizable, but so is some fruit. It is very neat and compact...then just open to see the rind and seeds right down to the pith. The feet on the press make it very sturdy and slip resistant and allows me to use it on the counter rather than try to hold it above a glass with the little bit of arm strength I have. It is very well constructed of metal and easy to clean...no need to put it in the dishwasher that would be silly. Overall, I am very pleased with my new press because it's all about simplicity and making life easier. Remember a lemon a day keeps the doctor away.
I decided to try this citrus squeezer by Tasty. This citrus squeezer is made of a metal. This is not a cheaply made product. There is an interior space where you place the sliced side up citrus half. Then you have to flip the other side of it over the top of the citrus half and squeeze the handlebars together. As the juice is squeezed out the seeds are locked inside, because there are these side holes on two sides that allow you to pour the juice into whichever container you need it to go in. I really liked this feature of this kitchen tool. There is no more need to fish out the citrus seeds with your fingers or a fork. This citrus squeezer was designed so that the bottom of it has four legs. That means it does not roll around on your countertops. The only issues I had was that I found it worked better on larger citrus. You have to make sure the citrus half you are about to squeeze is large enough to make good contact when the top half of it as it is lowered on the sliced half. I also found that it left a little too much pulp unextracted. I would end up using a fork to get the last bit of juice out of my citrus half. However, I will be using this kitchen tool anyway because I do a look of juicing of citrus in my kitchen.
This is a nice heavy, well built press. Instead of just being rounded on the bottom, it’s got feet so it can stand. The inside press is not slotted so you can hold on to the juice and tip it out the sides. Both sides have holes to drain into whatever you wish. I do like this press but I found it messy at first. As you press down on the lemon the juice pushes out the sides and if you press hard it makes a huge mess! Even when tipped sideways to drain in my cup, as I pushed more it squirted out the other side on my cabinets. It will take some time to get use to. Also it’s dishwasher safe. Well worth the price.
This product does not work that great. The price on it is okay. The overall quality of this product just doesn't meet the needs for us. There is too much juice that leaks out of the sides and creates a mess.
