I really thought this was too good to be true, but it actually works just exactly as it’s supposed to! My fourteen year old daughter usually cuts all of our pineapple, so I had her try it out. She was able to do the entire thing by herself. After you cut the top off, just place it on top and twist. It cuts through the pineapple like butter. Super easy. When you get to the bottom, pull it straight out. The core stays attached to the pineapple, which looked really cool! Press the two yellow buttons on each side, and the handle pops right off, allowing you to slide the rigs right off. We sliced the stack in half for perfect snack size bites. I was honestly shocked at how well this worked. It’s very well made, not cheap or flimsy. Great high-quality tool for the kitchen. I think we could do a large amount of pineapples in a very short period of time. This one took no longer than thirty seconds - 1 minute. Perfect for a party platter. Snip the core out of the pineapple shell and it could be used for drinks, or cut it down into a cute serving bowl. We love it!
This thing is the new sliced bread!! I have always bought already cut pineapple Because I didn't want to take the time to do it myself. Using this pineapple cutter gave me the fresh pineapple I wanted in less than 10 seconds! Literally cut the top and start twisting! My kids loved getting in on the fun too, And amazingly wanted to eat some after it was cut! It comes out in perfect spirals so you can keep it as is or cut it into smaller peices for a chocolate fountain treat! I received this product As part of the spark reveiwer program and I'm in love!
I love fresh pineapple but dreaded preparing it. Now with my new Tasty Pineapple Slicer it's so simple and easy. Less than 5 minutes and tada you have a bowl of perfect pineapple slices. The non slip handle is a plus and clean up is easy. I wish I had discovered this awesome product sooner. Definitely recommend it!
We love fresh pineapple at my house and eat it quite often. My husband always cuts it up with a knife. I got this pineapple corer for him and he is amazed at how fast and easy it is! The pineapple pieces that we cut with this corer were perfect and had no rind on them at all, which makes them really soft and nice to eat. Another great thing about it is that you are left with a hollowed-out pineapple that you can use to serve cut up fruit or salads out of at parties. We are so happy with this tool and will be using it all the time. If you like fresh pineapple, definitely get yourself one of these instead of cutting it up with a knife.
Let me just start off by saying that whoever invented the pineapple corer is a genius! I’ve known about them for a long time, but I never tried it until now. Now that I actually eat a lot more pineapples, investing in a pineapple corer seems like a good idea. I did get this one for free, but I would have eventually purchased one anyways since I eat pineapples so much. The packaging is very simple, nothing to write home about. The back of the package provides simple and easy instructions on how to use it. The handle is a hard plastic, and detaches with two little buttons on the side. The shaft and the blade/corer is made of stainless steel and is hollow in the center of the shaft. The blades are quite sharp, but manageable during hand-washing. Talking about handwashing, this pineapple corer is not dish-washer safe, and recommended for hand-washing only. The shaft also requires a small to medium-sized nipple brush to clean. Anyways, this pineapple corer is a very light and made of light stainless steel, but it makes this a very easy-to-use tool. Since the coring tool is not adjustable, picking the right size pineapple can be a challenge at first, but shouldn’t be too much trouble since most pineapples in the store are about the same size. Eye-balling it should come as second-nature after a few tries. Coring the pineapple with this tool was so incredible simple. Just cut off the top, twist this into the top of the pineapple with an even-level force until you are almost at the bottom of the pineapple. Then, sort of nudging the tool back and forth while in the pineapple, just pull upwards slowly and gently. It comes out with such ease and no force is required. The pineapple is now perfectly cored! This has saved me so much time. Do I really need a pineapple corer when I could just cut it myself the traditional way? Well, yes, sure! But when you look at how affordable a pineapple corer is and how much time it saves you, this tool becomes a great investment. Compared to how I traditionally cut my pineapples, it takes me more than 5 minutes each time. With my wife, it takes her 10+ minutes to cut it… With a pineapple corer, it takes either one of us only 1-2 minutes tops. Each time I use this, I get better and better at it, and takes me less and less time. I daresay, I can now get a pineapple completely cored and prepped for eating in 30 seconds with a pineapple corer, because that is how good this tool is! The only downside is that if you pick an incorrect size pineapple, the corer will still do the job, but you’ll end up wasting quite a bit of pineapple still inside of the pineapple. You can take the time to cut it out yourself, but that totally defeats the purpose of using a time-saving tool. Which is why I’ve trained myself to really eye-ball the perfect size pineapple every time.
I didnt think this was goig to be very easy. Turns out this is super easy! didnt take much stregth and came out exactly like the product promised. The only complaint i have is the removable plastic handle, it is tough to remove as you have to push in both side tabs to release. i had a hard time getting them to go inside far enough where it can slide out of the pole. This happen 2 times, one when handwashing and then when removing pineapple from pole. im not sure this is something i want to struggle with so i might just cut the fruit off the pole and wash with handle intact. other than that I really loved this gadget and would highly recommend to all the pineapple lovers. Its also cost effective because i can but a whole pinapple way cheaper than fresh cut up pineapple.
Of all the tools in the kitchen I've never had, this one was the most intriguing. Having caught a few pineapples on sale, 2 for 3 dollars, I decided to put this to use. After slicing off the top and bottom of the pineapple, I proceeded to use this to corer and spiral cut it. After using the tool, you can detach the yellow handle and turn it upside down to remove the pineapple that has been cut to spiral. Afterwards, I ran a knife straight down one end of the spiral and got perfect pineapple rings. I then disassembled it and proceeded to wash it, and had no difficulty in cleaning the pineapple tool or reassembling when done. Overall, I was very satisfied with how it turned out, and feel like I will get years of use out of this Tasty pineapple corer.
Until trying this product, I have never attempted to cut a fresh pineapple. It cores and slices the pineapple into a coil, almost like curly fries, making the "meat" easy to cut once cored. This tool made it pretty easy, but there were several things worth noting: 1) If you do not insert the corer complete straight, it will waste a lot of the pineapple fruit and tears a hole in the skin. We ran into this and tried to correct it, but onces it's done, it's done. 2) Slice and core in a bowl to avoid making a juicy mess. 3) An average pineapple yielded about 2 c. of pineapple chunks, about enough for 3 side-sized servings. 4) The tool is handwash only, and it is difficult to throughly clean by hand safely because it is so sharp. Definitely do some research on how to cut a pineapple before buying one! You want one as yellow as possible with a little give when the skin is pressed.
Sturdier than most.. Easy to assemble and take apart for cleaning. Does a great job, easy to get to bottom of pineapple . Core comes right out with little effort. Only draw back keeping it from 5 stars. Is it can be a little tough to clean at blade tacks. But with vegetable brush it will comes clean.
I was so excited when I bought this pineapple corer. And I was still happy until about the 3rd time I used it. Because that's when it started shredding the meat of the pineapple instead of cutting it. the pieces started looking like they were growing hair. So I am very disappointed with this product as it shouldn't get dull after 2 or 3 uses...
