Tasty Stainless Steel Round Wire Skimmer, 5" Diameter, 0.4lbs, Red

I love this skimmer/scooper! I've been needing a new one since my old one started to rust. I don't usually fry a lot of foods, but when I do I use wire scoopers. I like the design of this skimmer. The spider design of it allows you to catch the food without the grease. There are a lot of "holes" in the web design so that when you scoop out your food there's as little grease as possible. I tested this on french fries in hot oil. It worked perfectly!!! Was so easy to scoop up the food and drain all that unnecessary grease! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This wire spider skimmer is a decent size and has a nice size handle. The handle easy to grip and comfortable to hold. Cleaning the wire skimmer can be a bit tedious but it works for straining food from oil when you’re frying food. The long handle helps keep you from getting burning from grease flying out of a hot pan.

With the weather being cold lately , my mom likes to make her famous chicken veggie soup. Weirdly my kids mostly only want the meat, noodles and veggies , so this utensil was very helpful with straining all the broth from the soup making it easier to give the kids their preference.

Tasty Wire Spider Skimmer with 5" Diameter, Green works well for me. I am able to deep fry my kids nuggets and fries and use this little bad boy here to drain them from the oil. It picks up the nuggets very well and depending on the size fries it can do great also. It seems the wiring is very firm and doesn't seem to feel like it will bust no time soon. I love the colorful handle holder. Tho I would of gone for a touch or 2 lighter. Great product!

This skimmer has a long handle, soft grip, and works perfectly for skimming things out of boiling water or hot grease! I recently used the spider skimmer when I was frying up some chicken nuggets in a cast iron pot I have, and it made the job so simple! I highly recommend this product!

I was surprised at the quality of this utensil! The soft handle is thick and sturdy and cool to the touch in the hottest of situations. The 15 1/2'' length allows you put some distance between you and the pot so you won't get popped by grease or hot water and it's long enough so you can reach the bottom of the tallest pots. The skimmer is strong so it doesn't bend and it can take the heat of a fryer in stride. The 5'' diameter is just big enough to scoop up a hefty serving. I love "Tasty" videos so it's really great that their products are this great in quality. I also love that many of their utensils are multi-purpose!

I received this spider wire skimmer from Tasty. This tool for the kitchen is really awesome. First of all this is handwoven stainless mesh. It is super durable and strong enough to withstand all the different cooking techniques. I love that you can use this in boiling water and you can also use this in hot frying oil. This has a 5 inch diameter little mesh basket which can hold so many different things. Not only can you cook with it, you can also serve and strain. This is a great multipurpose tool for your kitchen. If you are boiling pasta or veggies you can just strain the food straight from the pot to a serving dish without even using a colander. This is also perfect for straining the grease off of any fried foods that you may be cooking. You do not need to worry about burning yourself because this has a nice long handle that has a comfortable grip at the end. Super easy to clean just hand wash it and you are ready to go. If you are a beginner cook or a chef this tool is a must have in your kitchen. It makes cooking so much more fun and less stressful.

Overall, I am pretty happy with the Tasty spider skimmer. I love the size of this skimmer and how lightweight it is. It’s easy to hold and the size is perfect for most of my pans. I love using this to easily drain smaller amounts of pasta, instead of the whole pan at one time. It is made of a handwoven stainless mesh and feels like it’s sturdy and good quality. I think it will hold up well over time with the proper care. It has a red and gray handle that is very soft and comfortable to hold. I like that the handle has a hole in it for hanging, or it can be placed in a cabinet or drawer. It’s small size means it doesn’t take up much space to store it! I feel like the length of the handle could be a little bit shorter, but overall it’s easy to work with. I don’t like that you need to hand wash it, but that’s a minor inconvenience, especially if it helps keep it lasting longer. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a smaller option for straining that is good quality and easy to use!

I ordered the green spider skimmer. I love using it to blanch my vegetables or deep frying items. It makes it easy to retrieve foods quickly from hot oil or boiling water. The strong mesh design prevents denting and an easy strain. It holds food securely while reducing spills when handled correctly. I didn't realize Tasty offered cooking utensils. This one is made well and handles easy. I am exploring other Tasty cooking products after having a great experience with this one. Keep in mind, this spider skimmer is only 5 inches in diameter. So it's not ideal for bulk blanching vegetables and you definitely can't throw noodles in this. You would need something deeper for that. The handle is sealed and dishwasher safe. I got the green color and I really like it! I do recommend this product. I feel every kitchen should have some type of skimmer. Makes cooking so much easier.

Got this skimmer to pick out left over chicken pieces from boiling them in the instapot and it works out very well. I also use it to drain out single servings of pasta. It is very durable and very easy to clean. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a good skimmer.
