I do love my salads so when I seen this one of those I had to have items. I'm not so much on the go but this will come in handy either way, can always make and set aside. Salad bowl has these side clamps that keeps everything closed that won't spill out. Also has a nice twist off lid and pop out bowl for dressing. No storage for silverware but that and be kept somewhere else. I do like the way you can cut the lettuce in the other bowl with holes in it and afterwards rinse off/drain lettuce and set it in the bowl to mix and eat. All in all bowl can be used for more than just lettuce kind of salads.

Pros: easy to use, works well, multi-use, top rack dishwasher safe, leakproof, great for in home use or on the go Cons: none The Salad Boss by Tasty is really nice! This bowl comes with everything you need to instantly and easily make and transport a salad. This bowl is very useful and easy to use. The Salad Boss comes with a serving bowl, a colander with slicing guide slits and herb stripping holes, a leakproof lid that is also a cutting base, and it comes with a dressing cup and lid. The instructions for using The Salad Boss are very straightforward and easy to understand. You can strip the herbs via the holes in the colander, add all of your whole ingredients to the colander, then rinse and strain. Next, you click the tabs on the lid down without the dressing container added and set it on top of the colander, the flip it over. Then use the slits in the colander as a guide to cut. You cut from the middle and go out until all of the contents have been sliced through, then rotate and repeat cutting until the salad is uniform. Then flip it over, remove the lid and add all of the contents into the serving bowl, attach the lid to the serving bowl, and then shake. Then it's ready to go, you can also add in the dressing cup if you're taking the salad on the go. The salad boss makes a salad completely effortless, and it stores well right in the bowl. All of the components are top rack dishwasher safe and easy to clean. I really love this bowl just for processing herbs too, it's easy to remove stems and wash all in one container. All in all, this is a really nice salad bowl! The Salad Boss is extremely useful, convenient, easy to use, easy to clean, multi-use, and it works really well! I would absolutely recommend it!
This salad bowl is a very convenient way to pack a salad for lunch. It holds a very generous portion size and keeps your salad dressing in a separate container so it is with you bowl and off your salad until your ready to eat it. It is neatly tucked into the lid. I would recommend this bowl for all salad eaters.
This salad bowl includes a colander to wash/dry the greens with slicing guides, and various side holes to strip herbs. There is a snap-on top that doubles as a cutting board when attached to the colander and flipped upside down. The bowl is much bigger than a regular side salad bowl and holds plenty for an entire meal. All of the plastic is thick and strong enough - not cheap or flimsy. The top has 4 snap-down locks which keeps everything secure. The top also holds a small round container in the middle of the outside for salad dressing, condiments, etc. - but doesn't hold a lot. I love that I can throw all of my ingredients into the colander, wash everything, attach the top, flip it over to cut everything up, then attach the bowl and shake it all up. I transport everything using the colander inside so that the greens don't sit in any water/moisture, and I don't have to worry about any spills in the car. I have also used it to transport veggies and cheeses for a couple people, then use the top to spread them out with the dipping cup in the middle.
The Tasty Salad Boss is perfect to prepare and package a salad. I use this to take salads to work for lunch. It comes with a strainer bowl which doubles as a cutter, you place your veggies on a board and cover with the strainer/cutter and it has slots to run your knife through and cuts all your veggies. Turn it over, cover with the lid and you are ready to go. It also has a small container for your dressing.
This product is awesome! It's everything you need to make a salad for on the go or to eat at home. It comes in 4 pieces - the bowl, a cutting board and top, a colander with slicing grooves and a salad dressing container. The bowl has 4 locks on it that you open. You then put the top upside down and use it as cutting board. Put your ingredients in the colander and rinse. Take the lid and put it on top of the colander and flip upside down. Take a long knife and you can slice thru the cutout strips on the colander to chop up your salad. When done chopping, you flip right side up and take off cutting board. Take the blue serving bowl and place on top of the colander and flip salad into the blue bowl. Tada, you now have your salad in the bowl all chopped up and ready to eat. If you are taking it with you, fill the dressing container with your favorite dressing or if you are eating at home, put your dressing on the salad and then put lid on, snap closed and shake to mix dressing. It sounds complicated and hard to use but once you get the knack of it, it's the best salad bowl Ive ever used and so convenient.
This is an attractive bowl. A must for the person that carries their lunch. Place for your salad dressing. It is not bulky. I use it to slice my home made bread. Soak and/or rinse loose vegetables. So many more uses for the creative person. I cannot give any negatives.
This little guy is packed with thoughtful components for a portable salad kitchen. The only thing lacking is a place to house a knife and fork. I especially like the four side latches. They snap into place with a satisfying click. The slicing guide is handy and doubles as a strainer. It gets left home, though, cuz after slicing and rinsing, it's just in the way when I go to eat my creation. The only part that doesn't work as well as I'd like is the dressing container. The top does not catch on to the screw threads of the container with any kind of ease. It also is not held as snuggly on the lid as it should be. If it drops off in transit, my salad will be rather naked at lunch. So far, it's good, though. Overall, I like this set. It has some very excellent pieces.
This product seems handy but it falls short. The bowl is very small, the steps are tedious and you end up with more items to clean than needed. You could use a cutting board knife and bowl easier. I found the slicing difficult and the lid does not "click" on like the instructions read. When you are all done the bowl sticks into the slicing colander and my veggies spilled out. The dressing holder is nice, just use it like a regular bowl with lid and forget the slicing colander steps.
