Taylor Candy and Deep Fry Analog Paddle Stainless Steel Thermometer with Adjustable Pot Clip

This thermometer is great for making candy and deep frying. It's very easy to read. It just sits on the side of the pot so it can stay in it while the pot is getting hot. It also markers on it to show you where temp should be depending on what you are cooking.

I've had two glass candy thermometers crack and break (kitchen help, careless). I swore I'd never purchase another one. Then I found this one. Easier to use MUCH sturdier. Easy to clean and also store. I have it hanging from a kitchen rack. Pretty sure this one will last forever.

This thermometer is a must. I use it for Candy making, chicken frying, Rosette cookies, and so much more. Sometimes you just need to know how hard the oil and this one is perfect!

this the first time ever bought this item and it works really great but the only problem is the piece that holds up it likes to slide down constantly but besides from that it's amazing

I tried to place a yes for I would recommend this item to others. As far as I feel about the product I am very happy with it. I have purchased many of these in different sizes shape and styles but I always come back to these. Don't waste your time buying one of those totally glass thermometers. I did and I was making hard candies. I was waiting for the hard ball stage and right after I passed the soft ball stage when the thermometer cracked then shattered all in the candy. And no it was not touching the bottom. I know better than that. I changed nothing I was standing there with my hand on the handle of the pot ready to start pouring the candy quickly.

Was in a pinch and needed a candy thermometer quick. I usually buy the cheap ones as I bloe them out quickly making candy. Bought this one as it was the only one available at the time. It's great! Made over 50 pounds of candy and it's still accurate. Hooks on the side of the pan better than any I have used in the past. Metal frame keeps the glass ball from accidentally hitting hot surface of pan. It's great!

This works pretty good, but I don't think temps are 100% correct, as with most candy thermometers. The design is good, keeps thermometer off the bottom of pan, the clip slides down to adjust height %26 is very easy to clean and store. My first batch of hard stage turned out great, but that was a mistake batch that got over 320. I thought it was burnt but it turned out really good. The 2nd batches were closely monitored and got to the 300 hard candy stage. They cracked, but stuck to your teeth. I'll need to work on how many degrees its off by, I'm guessing around 10, so it can be marked for future use. Good luck. Also, Im no professional candy maker, it may have just been me.

Temperature aspect was good. But the clip on the back used for attaching it to the pan didn't stay on well. We were able to make it work, but I would probably pick a different one next time.

This thermometer broke for no obvious reason the first time it was used, ruining our entire batch of candy. Unfortunately, we did not realize it had broken until my boyfriend and child had already sampled the candy.

AVOID THIS PRODUCT, IT'S UNSAFE first annoyance is the clip that slides so easily it falls off while using. But far worse than that is that the glass broke on the 3rd use contaminating the food with god only knows what. I didn't notice until i was doing the dishes. WHAT GOT INTO MY FOOD?!?!
