The Everything variety from Taylor Farms is a very good salad kit. The salad is always fresh, and it has a good selection of greens. The kit makes two good sized salads. I like a little more dressing than the kit provides, but that is easy to fix by using my favorite dressing. The kit has almost no prep time and zero waste, which make the good price even more attractive.
Vegetables are fresh, crisp, good quantity. I had enough for2 good size servings. Comes with very tasty dressing matching the type of salad ( a vinagrette, or ranch, etc.) Each variety has it's own type of croutons, and an additional packet of seasonings and cheese matching the type of salad. I would buy this again.
I love the "Everything" combination of flavors. In this salad kit, it is incorporated into the Ranch dressing and there is a separate packet of the seasoning to sprinkle on your salad. The miniature bagel slice chips are the perfect choice instead of croutons with this salad. The bagel chips enhance the flavor of the salad, whereas croutons would try to compete with the salad because of their own flavor palette. I eat the entire bag in one setting as a meal. I feel it is a bit pricey, but I feel that way about all salad kits and even purchasing lettuce itself is too expensive compared to pre-COVID-19 prices.
Have purchased it many times and it is among my favorites. However, I do wish they would label the calories in the dressing bag separately from the salad itself. I only allow myself about a fourth of the dressing that they supply, but have a terrible time, figuring out the calories. Not just the salad that they make but all of them.
This is my all-time favorite salad kit. It's a really tasty combination of chopped greens that harmonize (no odd bitter flavors) and remain fresh in the fridge for quite a few days, long after a salad with a lettuce base. The dressing is delicious (herby ranch) and the little bagel-ish crunchy things are perfect and also hold up well to dressing. I sometimes add cooked chicken or hardboiled eggs for protein and both go really well!
these salads are nutritious --- for the broccoli, the stem is used, carrots are shredded -- which makes a more nutritious salad. top with some eggs, dried cranberries, left over strips of baked chicken topped with your favorite salad dressing --- it's a meal in itself!!
This is my first time ordering this. I don't usually like to buy pre-packaged salad mixes, as they seem to gp "bad" so quickly - before I can eat it all. But the smaller size of this package was what first caught my eye. The size is perfect for me-just me-and the quality and taste was a bonus. So fresh, chopped nicely -I will eat it all an enjoy every bite. On my favorites list, for sure. Thanks.
Taylor Brand Salads- these are the best when you want something quick, easy and different, lots of varieties to choose from. Great adventure in eating. They do need to be eaten within a few days of buying them and they do not store well after opened or as leftovers.
I buy these to add to my chef's salads, because there's not enough salad in Walmart's regular salad. All of Taylor's salad kits have enough greens and vegetables to make up a very good chef salad ... more than enough for a full meal. Together, the price of the salad and add ons equal about $6.50 - but gives a full satisfying meal.
The salad was filled with woody pieces of vegetation, could not be chewed, presented a choking hazard or could damage soft tissue of mouth. I submitted a complaint to Taylor Farms. I'm sure this was an anomaly because ive been buying the product for quite awile and plan to continue buying it in the future.
