I got this for New Year's Eve since I was in the middle of moving and packing everything up. It seemed far easier to just get a prepared tray. The vegetables were crisp and the tomatoes sweet. The ranch was very good and there was plenty of it! For the 3 of us there was more than enough with leftover for salad the next day.
I could buy these things individually and save money but when you have soccer practices and games 5 days a week, there's little time. This tray has encouraged my kids to eat some veggies before the game, they think it looks “fun”….idk but I'll take it lol
I always order the one with the mini sweet peppers and snap peas, and they always substitute it with one with extra carrots and tomatoes. It is never listed as a substitution, and I marked do not substitute hoping that it won't happen again. It's like they just grabbed the first one they see and don't pay attention to the contents.
The veggies were not fresh, the broccoli was browning/yellowing and wilted, the carrots were visibly dry. Celery was brown and dry on the cut ends and the smell of old broccoli permiated. Unfortunately, this was a delivery order and I did not pick this tray myself. I do not know if all other trays at the store were good and my shopper just chose a bad one or if they were all in this condition (even so, in this condition it should have been removed from the shelves in the store).
Was fresher than the last time I ordered, however this time only the celery was sad. I did have to recut all the broccoli ends. Unfortunately there were no snap peas, even though that's in the listing name, I got two sections of celery. So there was two sections of carrots and celery, one each of slightly green tomatoes and broccoli.
If you need something quick it's okay. The celery hardly ever is not brown and although the broccoli looked okay, I ate 2 pieces and immediately burping it up which means it may have already been turning bad. The dip is very good and the carrots were fine.
These trays are not a good value. They are way too expensive for what they offer. You can buy the individual packages of prewashed and trimmed veggies and a small container of dressing or dip for less money. Also, putting tomatoes in the refrigerator is never a good idea.
I've purchased this numerous times. It seems to be a hit and miss as far as the quality. Several times items were not fresh. This time it was the celery. Even though the expiration date is 5/24/26 the celery is already beginning to get dark and brown. We've had issues with other Taylor Farms veggie and turkey tray. Walmart tells me to return it. I live 30 miles away. It's not worth the time and gas to return a $12.00 item. Just beware when you purchase Taylor Farms. You will never know if the quality of food is edable.
i was over charged by 20.00. was charged 92.09 and the price on the meat when it arrived was 72.10. let customer service know and said i would.get a.refund for the overage. that was a week ago and have heard nothing. Be careful when ordering online fir this reason. The bate and switching needs to stop.
They have the same musty taste as all the other baby carrots out there. Makes the entire tray taste bad. And the ratio of carrots to everything else is ridiculous. So you end up with the majority of the tray unedible carrots, the celery stalks have brown goopy edges, and the best part... The snap peas... You only get a few.
