Great rain gauge
It is easy to view from inside my sunroom. I like to keep up with the rainfall.

Poor design, manufacture, and labeling
This rain gauge is poorly designed, poorly manufactured, and improperly labeled. The materials are flimsy and it is doubtful they would last the season in the required exposed setting. The design is such that the reservoir can only be removed to empty it by sliding it partway up in the channel, tilting the bottom out, and unscrewing the cap at the bottom, a very awkward process that is is practically impossible if the gauge is mounted on the ground stake provided. The manufacturer's instruction tag attached to the gauge seems to describe a totally different product; e.g., it refers to four mounting screw holes, but there are only two; it refers to some yellow pins at the base of the reservoir that are not there at all--there is nothing yellow on the whole product. It is a wholly unsatisfactory piece of junk and I am returning it. I will remember Taylor for this crummy instrument and will avoid its products in the future.
