I'm a 7 handicapper, 65 year old golfer who has experienced accuracy and consistency problems over the past few years with my driver that I attributed to length and head size because I don't have the same problems with my 3W. I decided to try the 11.5 degree, stiff shaft BRNR Mini Driver. I've only played one round, but I'm sold! I hit 100% of fairways with minimal to no loss in distance, was able to hit controlled fades and draws, and was 2 over par.
First i am 80 years old / have played golf long time / age has decreased distance and accuracy The Taylor Made MINI DRIVER has been a game-changer for me on the course. Its compact size gives me confidence of a fairway wood with the control of a driver. Off the tee, I've noticed increased accuracy and distance. Highly recommend for golfers looking to fine tune their game ...this is the club. Since i bought mine, my friend recently bought a Mini Driver ...in his 50ths and bombing off the tee Great Club!!!
Very impressive. I'm a 7 handicap and purchased this just for fun. I was surprised how much I liked it. I would describe it as a big 2 wood not a small driver. It feels like a giant fairway wood behind the ball due to the shorter shaft and being able to see the lofted face. I can carry it almost as far as my driver with a similar ball flight. I'm using a 13.5 head and a GD DI 6S shaft. Compared to a 9.0 QI10. The head is definitely heavier on the BRNR which I like. I can also hit it off the deck, but haven't in a round yet. I could see this potentially being used more than my driver off the tee because it is so easy to hit and forgiving. I found myself swinging this as hard as I can because you can get away with it. I never swing my driver that hard in play because I can't keep it in the fairway when I do. I highly recommend hitting one of these if you haven't. They are just fun to hit.
This is working out very nicely. I'm 75 and always had trouble with driver accuracy. In the past I and gravitated toward strong 3 woods, which offer little forgiveness. Finally, coughed up the money for the Mini. The Mini allows me to drive with the "boys" and have some confidence in accuracy and avoiding the "Big Miss". The Mini was the right move for me.
Very easy to hit, both off the tee and the deck. I replaced my 3 wood with this and have an option I can more easily drawer than my QI10 driver. Definitely worth making space to have a critical option beyond driver.
Perfect for a player who struggles with traditional driver. I'm hitting more fairways with the mini due to a much narrower shot dispersion. Incredible to look at and amazing sound as well.
I got the BRNR because I don't have a consistent driver which is the main reason I lose strokes usually while playing. I also don't have a 3W in the bag so needed something to fill the gap. This driver is awesome, it's super easy to hit and pretty customizable to your needs. I keep mine on the 13.5 loft setting and still hit it almost as far as my driver but it stays in the fairways. Easily my new favorite club.
Loved it the moment I swung it for the first time. I am on the short side at 5' 7”. Always felt liked I lacked the height to generate swing width and felt cramped on the down swing with my drivers. Not because I lack proper mechanics , just that was the feeling I was getting. Not with this club, I felt like I swinging my 3 Wood which I hit longer than my driver at times. I actually spin the mini driver less with the heavier weight placed in front of the club rather than the other way. Great club with the DD Di6 cut down to 43.5 inches. I haven't lost carry yardage and prefer the penetrating ball flight over my Ping G430 LST with the same shaft at 45 inches
Accurate, forgiving mini driver that goes further than a 3-wood and more accurate than a standard 460cc driver. I got this BRNR Mini driver with a senior flex shaft and have been landing more fairways than ever. I am impressed at the forgiveness of this club. If the lie is very good, do not hesitate to use this off the turf. I have 83 mph swing speed and struggle with a 460cc head, 45" shaft driver. This Mini driver works good for me. Quality product for sure!
Love this club! I have an aversion to "full-size" drivers and had settled on teeing off with my 3-wood. The BRNR hits it further and straighter than my 3-wood, and honestly further and straighter than I'd been hitting my old driver. The BRNR Mini Driver Copper is definitely staying in my bag!
