Great driver with a HUGE forgiving head. I had an original stealth and wanted to upgrade for Christmas. The thing sounds amazing. It's impossible to miss. I really love it. Make sure you find the right shaft for you. The fujikura speeder shaft is too lightweight in my opinion. be sure to get fitted for the right head/shaft.
This new QI0 Max driver has really improved my driving game. I am 72 years old and play around 3 rounds (18 holes) a week or more.. It is a 9 degree loft and a regular shaft. I have been more consistent with this driver than I have in many years. I now consistently play in the mid eighties with a traveling golf league. We play many different courses in Mid-Michigan and I carry a 10 handicap in this league.
Handicap 12, ~108Mph swing speed Looks - 9 Feel - 9 Distance - 8.5 Dispersion - 9.5 Sound - 8.5 Came from a Stealth 2 Stiff 9deg, and went with a similar setup in the Max (lowest loft, stiff). Compared to the Stealth 2, this driver is much easier to wield and has more of chance of hitting my mark. The Stealth was a bit unwieldly, albeit longer. I'd rather have a shot in/near the fairway that's 5-7yds shorter than the unpredictable Stealth 2
This driver is a game changer. I upgraded from a Burner super fast 2.0 which I hit the ball pretty long with but felt it was time to let technology do some work. The Qi10 added about 20 yards and I'm hitting more fairways. If you like a low launch I recommend getting the 9 degree. I got the 10.5 and I'm launching much higher than I did with the Burner. I turned mine down to 9.5 and it still gets up there pretty high but it's straight. Bottom line, you can't go wrong with this driver.
Walked into a fitting for a Qi10 driver and had "low handicapper" misconceptions that the Max wouldn't be the best fit for my game. After my fitting session, it was clear that the Max head was the best option for me and the 10k tech on off-center hits is the real deal! While I didn't gain any significant distance over my previous gamer, the dispersion was considerably tighter off mis-hits and my distance was longer compared to mis-hits with my gamer. Highly recommend getting fit for a Qi10 driver!!
I've been hitting the Qi10 Max driver at the range, and honestly—it might be the most forgiving driver I've ever swung. Even when I miss the center, the ball still flies straight and carries well. It's got that high, easy launch that just makes it fun to swing. The sound and feel are both solid—clean without being too loud or harsh. It's definitely helped me feel more confident off the tee, especially on days when the swing isn't perfect.
I am about a 15 handicap and was previously using a Titleist TS2 that I could never quite get used to. I rented the Qi10 Max a few different times while traveling and it just “felt right” as soon as I started to play with it. Now that the newer models are out, the Qi10 fell within my price range and I'm super happy with it after playing a few rounds. The reputation is well earned as it is super forgiving, as my mishits still get plenty of distance. I also feel like I get a better arc on the drives than with my previous driver. I know that many characteristics are simply subjective, but this driver gives me confidence when I'm standing over it. If you can snag one of these on sale, I don't think you'd be disappointed! I think this is my favorite driver since the R7!
I've always been a TaylorMade person with a driver and this definitely has the feel of SIM 2 but way more forgiving. This definitely beats the Stealth line.
I've played 3 rounds (18-hole tournaments) and I can't believe how much better I'm hitting my drives now with the Qi10. Using the Arccos monitoring system, my average drives went up from 220 to 240 yards with my longest going up from 260 to 280 yards, and more "center fairways" than ever.
I previously played the Stealth 2 Plus driver prior to buying the Qi10 Max. I have been playing TaylorMade drivers for several years to include the Stealth HD and Sim Max D driver. Since purchasing the Qi10 Max I have played 3 rounds and hit at least 100 balls on the driving range. During the range sessions I made loft adjustments to dial in and maximize ball flight. I have lost approximately 10 yards in distance and not seen a lot of added forgiveness when comparing the Stealth 2 plus to the Qi10 Max. The dispersion is better with the Qi10 Max, but my misses with the Stealth 2 Plus were still in play. The Qi10 Max is a good driver, but at this particular moment, I prefer the Stealth 2 Plus. Maybe after some additional range time I will feel differently.
