I received the putter a few days ago and finally was able to golf today and put with the Spider Tour db. Far exceeds the putter i was using previously. Excellent balance throughout the stroke. Full length alignment line improves accuracy. Very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend the Spider Tour to anyone looking to upgrade their current equipment.
I have been struggling with finding a putter that felt natural for my stroke instead of manufacturing a stroke to fit the putter. I have currently 2 well know putters and the starting letters are L and the other S. Great putters and work for a lot of players but didn't for me. But this putter and I bonded like a wand in Harry Potter. The fit was perfect for me. With that said I did try the array of Spider putters. But this model and particular neck and color of head and kbs shaft all come together. Others may like the other neck or model offerings and try them cause what I discovered is the neck played a big roll in how you I hit the ball. A slightly open toe hang wasn't for me and an other face balance weren't either. So give them a try and get a fitting. The Super Stroke Pistol GT 1.0 was also the right choice too.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet because it's the winter months in the east. It preformed well and felt good when I was testing on a store putting green. I ordered mine to be custom adjusted. 1/2” longer, 3” flatter lie, & the grip not installed because I wanted to install. I like the double bend shaft for the 0 degree toe hang. I'm hoping to hit lag putts closer to reduce 3 putts & to make more shorter putts. My average putts per round this past season is 32. 33% in the 20s. I expect to improve on that. The putter is the most used club in the bag.
Got this for my son and he fell in love with it right away. The look and feel of the putter are great. I would recommend this to the average golfer.
Airlines lost my clubs for a few rounds and the rental clubs had the Spider and it was live at first putt
So far so good! I'm pleased with how stable the double bend Spider tour is. I've noticed my speed control on longer puts is way better. The true path paired with the new stripped TP5x balls gives me confidence I'm hitting the ball where I'm aiming.
Game changer. Confidence builder. Before I considered myself a good putter. Now I am a great putter.
Great putter. Nice balance and oversize grip is comfortable. Center line is helpful when lining up the head to the line I have drawn on the ball.
Great putter. Love the feel of the Pure Roll Insert. Putting with the TP5X balls feels a bit clicky to me with metal faces but this insert makes them sound and feel great.
Excellent putter. Should've upgraded sooner from my blade putter. I was nervous about a mallet, but the face balanced head was smaller than I thought it would be and the true path makes it easier on short putts. Would highly recommend
