Have a handicap index of 13.9 and purchased the Stealth Driver Plus versus the Stealth Driver because I wanted the flexibility of the sliding weight track. After 3 sessions on the driving range using my Rapsido Mobile Launch Monitor (yes I'm a bit of a geek) I dialed in where I thought I wanted the weight to be. On the range it was apparent that I was gaining around 15 yards and 5 mph in ball speed for the same club speed as my existing driver. A side note…my clubs were fitted by a professional fitter. I was able to purchase the Stealth driver plus with the same shaft as my existing driver so I had an apple to apple comparison. I then took it to the course and played 2 rounds to determine if my range results transferred to the course. Bottom line: I gained 15 to 25 yards on the course over my existing driver. How Sweet it that!
My first impressions of the TaylorMade Steath+ driver is the looks, feel and performance. I like the compact look of the driver. The matte black with red face gives it a premium look looking down behind the ball at address. The engineers did a nice job with the feel, nice and light with a nice powerful satisfying sound. I didn't get punished too much with off center hits either. I did increase ball speed and lower my spin rate and added about 7 to 9 yards of total distance. Overall this so far for me is the most consistent driver delivered premium level performance. (9 degree with Hzrdus Smoke Black RDX 70g Shaft tipped 1 inch)
I normally try and play the most forgiving drivers on the market so I have played Ping Drivers the past couple seasons. This year tho...... I will be gaming the Stealth Plus... The Plus spins really low for me and it really helps on my low heel strikes. The carbon face feels great and i like the sliding weight to tune it up.
Takes getting used to but overall worth the money. Hopefully this will help me find more fairways or at least watch the ball go further into the woods
Great driver. Really did add 15yds and 4mph. Great dispersion and super feel off the face. The head is very stable thru the strike and set at draw the shape is good.
Everything is top notch, ball jumps off the face and runs for ever, sometimes to far!!!! Graphics are perfectly placed & when I look down I feel like the ball is going were I want it to go.
Absolutely love it. I customize my own clubs, and this was no different. I swapped out the aft weight from a 4g to a 14g, and drifted my slide track weight toward the hosel. Thing hits like a rocket launcher now.
The driver seems to be loud and i cant get a feeling where the club head is at. Also, this driver is 45 and 3/4 long. I wish i had known that before ordering because i would have gotten a 45 or 44 inch. Being this long, for my height, 5 7 it is just to long a shaft. These manufactures keep making the shaft longer for more distance but that only applies if you hit the center of the clubface. It gets tougher to do so when the shaft is that long. I hit some nice shots but i also hit a lot of big draws. The faiway woods and the hybrid are great. I did not mishit any of those. Its the length of the driver. I will get a shorter shaft.
great technology and forgiveable The adjustment options have helped in more fairways hit Strongly recommend for any level of golfer. I am going to try the fairway woods soon
Upon receiving the driver there was a deep scratch in the paint on the top line. Going forward there should be a more detailed inspection before you send a product out. This creates a poor customer experience
