TAZO Classic Chai Black Tea, Caffeinated, Tea Bags 20 Count Box

This is the second best bagged chai blend I have ever tasted (the first is a direct India import) and this can be drunk even without milk and is a lot easier to find than the India import. It tastes good and well balanced. This is the only bagged chai I will buy from now on.

I usually make my own Chai Tea but when I don't feel like it it's nice to have the convenience of a ready to go tea bag. This is the best tasting chai tea bag I have ever used.

Chai = tea. Masala = spice. I was told this was like authentic masala chai you find in Indian restaurants. It is not anywhere close to authentic. This has no spice. I've tried extra-long steep time (15 minutes). I've tried double-bagging it. It's just not flavorful. You can't taste the spices. You cannot taste the cardamom, black pepper, ginger, etc. If you're looking for flavorful masala chai, look elsewhere. I'm so disappointed. Waste of time and money. If you want some regular plain black tea, knock yourself out.

The tea bags are literally not even sealed on the inside so the tea literally explodes everywhere when you open it. Forget actually putting it in the water unless you like your tea crunchy.

I usually am a fan of your tea, specifically the TAZO Passion tea bags. So I decided to branch out a little and try a new flavor, see what I might also like. I have a soft spot for chai tea so I purchased the TAZO Classic Chai tea bags. I was disappointed when the drink tasted like a regular black tea, little to no spice. I tried one more time, thinking it might be a mistake on my part in brewing or something else. No. Just basic black tea and no other spice. If I wanted that taste, I would have bought a cheaper box of black tea. So yeah, I am disappointed.
