Punches well above it's price bracket

Zachary February 15, 2026

By default, it has a punchy vibrant color profile but if that's not up to your liking, the sRGB mode is more faithful to an accurate color display. The photos was taken with Local Dimming to High and the Original color profile. I really like what this panel has to offer, I wish the IPS bleed was managed a little better but for the price, I can't really complain or give it much thought and local dimming makes most of it not very noticeable. After all, it's more of a lotto thing than a manufacturer defect, not all IPS are made the same. 300 hz is pretty nice, the improved fluidity and motion clarity from 144 hz is appreciated and the jump from 60 hz will be stunning, trust me. Out of the box, this serves people well. Though to note I DID have to set Local Dimming from Standard -> High. 60 hz (in Windows) -> 300 hz. The response time is VERY surprising, TCL is oddly very honest on the spec sheet while most panel manufacturers lie (1ms -- being only GtG). On Fastest, there's barely any discernable overshoot and it's the first time I'd say I would gladly use the fastest setting on a monitor cause most gaming monitor will grossly overshoot causing inverse ghosting. One last thing to note, MANY 240-300hz monitors suffered from poor angles, darkening when slightly leaning but the effect on this monitor is greatly diminished. It makes me happy to hold out and return many monitors for this one. All in all, I think this is a real heavy hitter in the 1080p monitor market. For the $200 USD, it's a fair contender. For $150, you shouldn't even look at the competition. It wins by default.

Amazing monitor for the price ($150ish)

john June 25, 2026

This is honestly the best 1080p monitor simply because of the 300hz refresh and the qd-mini led.. alongside the price I bought it for (around $150) is a steal! I use this as a 2nd monitor alongside my 27" 4K oled msi. No, this is not curved and curved is honestly a gimmick unless ur really close to it which is bad for your eyes anyway. For those who are using this as their main gaming monitor, the colors look great and HDR works just fine! It is the PERFECT SIZE for FPS gaming if you're into that. FPS Pro's prefer 24-25" monitors because 27"-32" will force your eyes to dart around just to see the corners which is really bad for fps so again, this is the perfect size for that if ur into OW, marvels, etc... It's still good enough size for media consumption as well. Most movies/videos/streaming sites are 1080p so having them on native resolution is nicer compared to a 1440p monitor. 0 regrets and highly recommend this monitor if you're on a budget yet still want good picture quality and very high refresh rate! Oled simply doesn't exist in this price realm but this is the next best thing!

great deal at $148

michael March 30, 2026

best 'bang for buck' monitor right now - only 1080p but at 25" its great. Great stand, great quality - great color. 300/240hz. Very good deal.

5090 Path Tracing DLAA Monitor

Dan March 1, 2026

Yeah this is an amazing monitor. Purchased this as a test to see if "downgrading" to 1080p was worth it for the QD-Mini LED panel and it absolutely was an upgrade over my older 1440p LED IPS. This monitor is only 240hz if you want to use HDR properly in 10-bit which is more than enough. Ironically, this monitor is perfect for high end PC gamers who want to run as close to native as possible. Utilizing this with DLAA 4.5 with preset L is an amazing experience in the latest games like Resident Evil. Certainly there are better 4k panels out there which can run 4k performance mode, but it was refreshing to just play everything without relying on up-scaling and only focusing on anti-aliasing.

Best non-OLED 1080p monitor at a value price.

DAVID December 26, 2025

I used to use a high refresh rate 4k monitor for my computer. I got tired of changing settings, turning on and tweaking dlss and frame gen. The TCL G64 25" at FHD (1080p) is a perfect fit for my needs. I no longer have to fiddle with settings. I can just crank everything to max and don't have to worry about performance. If it ever model comes back in stock. I will buy more.

300Hz is great!

Rosie December 18, 2025

This monitor nails that sweet spot of FHD, 25 inches, and 300Hz. The 300Hz refresh rate is absolutely insane and makes a massive difference in fast-paced games. Plus, it's actually achievable with a decent GPU at 1080p. The screen is also surprisingly bright with good contrast, which is great for daytime work in my well-lit office. I mounted it onto my VESA arm right away, but the adjustable stand it came with looked and felt solid (also has an interesting lcable management loop that blends into the back). A little bonus was finding the DisplayPort (DP) cable included in the box. For anyone prioritizing pure frame rate on a budget, this G64 is a strong value.

Great monitor for the price!!

Luis July 23, 2026

I would totally recommend this monitor for someone with a tight budget. It really does the job and the 300 hertz is real buttery. No complaints whatsoever.

Colors are outstanding, plus more

Stewparts April 18, 2026

Fantastic Monitor for the money. Colors are crisp and bright. Picture pops, Sound is ok also. In a office location with lights and no lights at times in the office. Picture is great in each environment. The monitor was marked down $300 dollars too. Only issue is delivery was Fed Ex with issues left in open area. It could of walked away. I was lucky. Box lacked info of specs. Over all my last monitor for many years!!!!

As with other monitors I have purchased over the last four months, dead and stuck pixels. Two dead pixels and one stuck blue pixel right out of the box. Do youself a favor and do not buy monitors online unless you like to tie up funds and time. This was my first monitor from TCL and it now has ruined that. Dead pixels are more common than people talk about now. Three total monitors in four months all new with dead/stuck pixels. Three different brands. Quality control of companies have gone downhill in the past four years with quality control.
