TCL - 50" Class 5-Series QLED 4K UHD Smart Google TV

FROM THE SHOCK OF HOW GREAT THE PICTURE IS,TO GETTING A TV THAT GOES FOR DOUBLE AND NOT NEARLY AS SUPERB.PLUS GOING FROM A ROKU BUILT IN TO GOOGLE WAS POOR LUCK,WAS THE LAST ONE.AND IF I HAD CHOICE THEN WOULDA WENT WITH ROKU OUT OF FORMILIARITY,WAS NEVER BIG FAN .GOOGLE WITH CHROMECAST IS WAYYY BETTER! TRYING MORE TCL PRODUCTS NOW,BRAVO!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about 3-4 months ago and have absolutely no complaints only suggestions. I mainly use the tv for Gaming on the Xbox Series X and it is hands down one of the best pictures you can get in this price range. I do have one suggestion though, I can't use the remote that came with the tv with my Xbox without going through multiple menus. If there is some way of making it easier to access this feature or by just switching the Xbox it would automatically work, it would be so much more convenient. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase, no regrets.

It's lightweight & fit in our space perfectly. We enjoy that we can download many different channel apps, leading to a variety of programs; new & old TV shows.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted an upgrade from the 4 series and had never owned a qled tv before. But instead of going high priced right away I thought I would try this one. Glad I did! It's a great low priced qled tv with an awesome picture! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the operating system has a few glitches. A couple times it just has gone to reset mode. Also a couple times it doesn't want to power on. I need to unplug to reset it. But for the price I can't knock it too bad. Wold absolutely recommend!

This tv has great features and I primarily use it for gaming. It is advertised that this tv has VRR and it does, however whenever I activate it, the screen will start flickering in game. I'm not sure if this is an issue with my panel, but it is a little frustrating.

I just bought this and it's pretty decent but controlling external audio devices via ir is not an option anywhere. I'd like to be able to have the option for the remote to learn or signals to control my volume on my external speakers connected via an optical cable. Also the option to turn off the internal speakers. Just missing a lot of advanced options that are on normal tvs. Other than that it's a pretty good experience.

I am so disappointed because I read many great reviews about the quality of this TV especially when comparing to the price. Whenever watching any non ultra 4k program on the built in Netflix app, which is almost all of Netflix's programming, the image on this TV is insanely and distractingly grainy or pixelated. I've tried calling customer support and can't get them to call me back. From what I'm reading online, the TV is automatically trying to upscale Netflix's lower resolution shows to 4K and doing a terrible job of it. The TV should allow the option to turn off 4K viewing since so many people use and watch Netflix, but there's no option to do this, so I'm stuck watching Netflix shows where the people's faces look they have salt and pepper sprinkled all over them.
