Works great.. took my humidity down quickly from high 70's and maintains it at 45, just where I want it. I have a 2 bedroom apartment and I empty it every night. It's a bit noisy but they all are and it's a while noise sound so nothing terribly annoying. I'm happy with my purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This TCL 32 Pint Smart Dehumidifier has been extremely effective in my home. It noticeably reduced humidity levels within a short period of time and made the space feel cooler, fresher, and more comfortable. The smart features are simple to connect and allow easy monitoring and adjustments from my phone. The unit operates quietly, has a good-sized water tank, and is easy to empty and clean. If you live in a humid climate or deal with moisture-related issues, this dehumidifier is a very reliable solution.
This dehumidifier was very easy to unpack and make ready for use. Has a nice slender drsign and easy to identify and use control buttons. No, its not silent and I would never expect it to be, however do not find it to loud just sounds like a fan to me. This was replacing a 20 year old dehumidifier for me so this one is completely a huge upgrade for me. Not near as heavy and bulky either. Very quickly shipped as well.
We bought this for my Pop. He loves it. My sister and brother in law are at the house, they said, " It works su great they are buying one. Thank you so much. God's peace and blessings
You need to be careful when you empty the bucket. It is awkward to carry and is filled to very near the top. There are no baffles to prevent the water sloshing over the sides and onto the floor. In my basement, during the initial continuous operation testing period the bucket filled in under 12 hours. While the outdoor humidity was as high as 98% the basement was reduced to 40% and sometimes lower. (The area also has air circulation through the house ducts.) I do like the Notifications feature so I can know to empty the buckle, but I would like the App to also keep a log. The internal pump has not been tested because the tubing limits the placement of the unit and that is less than ideal. I would not risk pumping the water into a condensation pump because of the overflow risk. All things considered, this is significantly better than the “seller's choice” brand I purchased two seasons ago that now just ices over and has none of the useful features this adds. I purchased the extended warranty because I have no idea what to do with these when they break.
I would've given this dehumidifier more stars in my ratings, But...!! ...I like the item itself, it seems to really be working at reducing humidity, but the instruction booklet that came with the unit is almost useless, so far I've called and emailed the company half a dozen times b/c it's not clear how to interpret and use its settings (for instance, the instructions say to choose the "v" button (there is no "v" button that I can see).... Right after I make one call , I'll think ok now I understand how to use it, and then another issue comes up (as I type this, the unit is running continuously, I don't know how to get it set to a desired humidity level and have it shut off once it gets there...) It is doing its job at reducing humidity, but to be plain about it, the directions SUCK (The first clue actually was when I was first reading in the booklet and it said that initially the machine will run for 24 hrs on "contentious" mode (ok now we have an argumentative dehumidifier?? [I THINK they meant "continuous"])
The TCL Dehumidifier was delivered in good shape. All parts included as advertised (Cord storage tabs, User Manual and 16 foot hose for connection to the pump output). There is a connection port for a garden hose too for continuous draining after the bucket fills up. Download to your phone the TCL HOME app to start at the Google Play Store for Android or Apple Store for iPhone. The user's manual instructions for pairing with WiFi were simple and accurate. Conversely, instructions in the TCL app are not intuitive in terms of adding the device. NOTE: When adding your device in the TCL app, do NOT choose the first occurance of a dehumidifier which is a "Matter Dehumidifier". Scroll down until you see just plain old Dehumidifier. After that things got easier. In the end, the app works to control the TCL dehumidifier...On/Off, Humidity % desired, Fan Speed, Pump On/Off, Comfort/Dry Mode, Tank Full notification and Timer Start/Stop. It does appear in Google Home as well but is just On/Off. It has a one year warranty with options to purchase warranty plans of 1 or more years. Registration can done in in the app as part of the setup. Hope it last for years.
I ordered this because it had a lot of good reviews however I guess I got a defective machine. it kept putting out an error code after being on for 2-3 minutes. I went through the troubleshooting and it continued. ended up returning the product for a refund and purchasing a different product.
Bought in February and started regular use around April. It worked well at first, but after about three months of use, it started showing an EF2 error and stopped working properly. Customer service was unable to offer a repair option. Disappointed that it did not last longer.
Didn't get to use until recently and just found that it does not do what I thought it would do. ADVERTISED AS A 32 PINTS BUT TANK HOLDS NOWHERE NEAR 32 PINTS. Not at all practical for my use, since drain to outside not available in my space, and I cannot empty the little tank numerous times a day!
