Arrived a day ahead of schedule, and was easy to move compared to my last Flatscreen (100 lbs Acros 50" from 2005). The way the box it came in was intelligently constructed and made unpacking the TV easy. The guided setup made things a breeze. My first film to watch on it was Avengers: Infinity War, and both picture and sound was excellent. Since then it has performed above and beyond what my old 2005 unit did. It even upscales the HDMI 1080p output from my HTPC with ease, meaning I didn't have to get a new video card to drive the additional pixels. All told, a good solid HDR Smart TV. I can't wait to get a Dolby Vision 4K Blue Ray to watch on it. I can't wait to see the difference between HDR and DV. I highly recommend this unit.
Roku TV with excellent picture! The TV has Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10, Roku TV is the best platform period. All your inpurs are on the same page as all your streaming apps. You can pause live TV by inserting a USB thumb drive which is awesome! You can customize the lineup of all your apps and inputs. The picture quality on this is excellent! TCL makes a great TV for an amazing price. This is my 3rd TCL and I love them all. Buy it before they are sold out!
The 4K HDR DOLBY display resolution is clearly superior to others in price class. The audio is wimpy, so plan on $100-$200 more for a sound bar to make audio quality closer to display quality. Curiously, it is apparently hardwired to make it impossible for viewers to use the speakers AND audio-out earphones (like for hearing-impaired viewers) at the same time!
The picture quality. I read some reviews later where people stated that they paid $100 less than I did, so that was a little disappointing. But the quality of the TV is excellent.
nice for the price, good color, resolution. Terrible Roku remote, a very limited in function and you'll require a third party remote to do the things you're used to.
Good color but far from Sharp. Bad glare issues if anywhere near a window. It was a cheap 4k t.v. i miss my Sharp and I may put this tv in a different room and buy a something nicer with less glare.
The tv speakers crackled but tcl sent someone out to replace them without issue. The tv however didnt come with the right screws to mount the feet and they said I needed to buy them since they wont send the right ones. A $700 tv without the right hardware? I bought 3 tcl tvs. 2 had issues requiring a return of 1. They are inexpensive so dont expect too much. Overall, probably wont buy any in the future.
Ordered this TV Walmart online. I originally wanted the 55SP607 based on all the positive reviews, but more I read, the 55C807 was the latest iteration of these TVs and got good reviews. So went with this one instead of my original gut feeling (always trust your gut). Walmart delivery was very fast via Fed Ex. TV was delivered on a Saturday and after removing TV from box, I plugged it in an immediately noticed a fine vertical line running up and down the left third of the screen and a horizontal line running across the bottom about 6 inches up. They looked like picture alignment cross hairs, so continued with set up. The setup picture was great, but these were not alignment cross hairs. They never went away. Called TCL U S Support and got some lady I couldn't understand. She said a technician would call me back. I doubted that and I was correct. Boxed up the TV and took it back to Walmart where after looking at pictures I took on my phone, they credited my account immediately, no hassle whatsoever. Good on Walmart. Ended up going in store and buying a E Series Vizio. I was replacing my 55 inch Vizio which I had given to my son after 11 years of flawless operation. I should have known better to switch from a known to an unknown in the first place. I'm ecstatic with my new Vizio E65.
Price was good, specs were good, and good looking TV, but performance is not up to the level of well known brands and color is not great. Developed a dead pixel within 3 months and with the limited warranty coverage, it was not covered. My advice is to pay more and get a better brand with better coverage.
I bought this exactly two years ago and now it doesn't work correctly. It flashes on and off continuously. Junk TV
