I got the same message others here complained about (no availability), but in my case it just wasn't available for shipping. After about five minutes and changing to store pickup, the order went through just fine. [There was no trickery involved, just needed patience and common sense.] Happy customer here!!!
Recently purchased this Black Friday special from Walmart. Initially, I was a bit weary at first due to the low low price ($224), which made me think the TV might be of low or poor quality. However, once I set up the TV, I was immediately impressed with just about everything! The Picture is clear and sharp and bright. The built in TV tuner is fast and you can switch channels quickly with out having to wait. The Sound is pretty good too. The built in Roku features are awesome and extremely fast response. Apps load almost instantly, and streams start within a few seconds. There are 4 HDMI inputs so you can have multiple devices hooked up to it. And it has a USB slot, which you can plug in a 16 GB flash drive and be able to pause tv up to 90 minutes (which I tested and verified... plus it was easy to setup)! I also hooked up the tv to our Google Home assistant, so now we can tell Google to turn on/off the tv, have it play a specific show or movie from a particular app, pause, resume, etc. My only pet peeve is that the remote control is a Roku type remote. It doesn't have any numbers on it for directly typing in the TV channel. And I haven't been able to find the Live TV guide yet. But those are just minor inconveniences that don't take away from the exceptional value this TV brings. I see that there are a lot of low 1 star ratings from disgruntled folks who are mad they missed out on the deal. It is not the TV's fault it was sold out before you could buy it. Overall, if I could purchase a second one, I would!
The TCL 55 4K (Digital video can be copied and reproduced with no degradation in quality and four times the resolution) UHD (Ultra-high-definition television) HDR (high dynamic range) Smart Roku TV 55S21 is state of the art upgrade with features that enhance your television viewing choices with or without subscription to wifi. Included with TCL 55 television is an extended manufacturer coverage and with the added purchase of a TCL Protection Plan you can extend coverage features. Installation with the step by step instructions was smooth with no issues. The picture is clear and sharp. The volume does need to be turned up to hear some movies. No sound bar was installed. The simple remote is user friendly with about half the buttons than a traditional television remote. I went from two remotes, one for the television controls and a separate one for the Roku access. Easy voice control is available to change channels, switch inputs, or direct access to a movie. There is no fee to use the Roku feature on the TCL 55 4K television channels. It comes included. There is the option of not paying for additional streaming services. The included features can stand alone or enhanced by purchased streaming services. Some of the streaming channels, such as Hulu, Netflix, and others, do require monthly subscriptions though. There is a need for an antennae to watch UHF and VHF channels. The TCL 55 4K Smart Roku television is a worthwhile investment whether upgrading or buying for the first time buyer. I recommend purchase.
Wow! Very impressed! I have 6 different flat screens in my home and have had to purchase a soundbar for each, but not this one! The audio is incredibly impressive. And the 4K speaks for itself resolution-wise. And add the Roku features and we're absolutely loving the whole thing! Highly, highly recommended.
It's as wide as it is tall and the picture quality is beautiful! The Roku features are easy to personalize and the local TV reception is phenomenal. I don't even need the external antennae anymore. Great surround sound and even though it's really big, it's very lightweight. You really should have this TV in at least one of your rooms!
I've had the 32” version for awhile and wanted a larger one. The picture is really good, I like that all the streaming apps are right there when you turn it on, easy setup, connects to the WiFi quickly, loads quickly, for the price this a wonderful TV
For the price this is a great tv, it's supposed to be 4k but I'd say it's barely above 1080p. I've watched a ton of reviews for TCL tvs and they compare to $500 Samsung and LG tvs, so if you can get this for under $250 get it. i wouldn't have been happy if i paid the regular $400 when you could get a slightly better tv for $500, but for half the price great buy.
wasnt available no where when i looked on app before sale began this morning. then a few hrs ago to a look at app an one store had in stock amazingly. i have it at home now still in box. dont know if it wrks yet. didnt get warrenty for 228.00 was cheap enough. welp dont know if it was or is a deal for nothing to compare it to. could go for a slice of pizza. o yeah
This tv freezes constantly! Like literally right now at 1:27 am as I am typing this my tv is frozen on Netflix and this has happened at least 4 times this week. Wish I could return it and get a full refund because this is ridiculous, my LG tv doesn't freeze this much and I've had it longer. Never buying this brand again!
Paid for Walmart Plus to get really access to this deal. The TV was available for pickup the very next day. When I got home and began to unpack the box, I noticed the power cord, remote, and manual were missing. I called the store, and they informed me that there would be no replacement, and that I would have to bring it back. I am beyond disappointed. I now have to return other items I purchased for the TV.
