Hard to beat

BClay December 11, 2017

Nice tv for the money. I searched and could not find one anywhere for the same price with the 120hz refresh rate which is somewhat important. The tv is very simple to use. People who are not tech savvy should feel comfortable purchasing this tv. Good quality purchase

Great TV! LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!

iMarsh September 30, 2017

I was not sure about getting this TV at first because I thought it might be too big (unnecessarily), plus it was about $750 after tax.. However, I've definitely fallen in love with it since and feel it was well worth it. Plus when you take into account that it has a built in Roku, that definitely makes the price seem even more worth it. I'm currently feeling spoiled by the TV now, anything smaller almost feels too small now, lol.. But it is a good quality TV, the colors are vibrant, and it works well. :)

Outstanding Buy

Zephyrhillsretiree October 16, 2017

We've only had this fantastic T V just a few days but right out of the box, it worked perfectly. We replaced a 40 in. Sony with this and the size, clarity, sharpness, and color it produces (even with a roof top antenna bringing in broadcasts from stations 40 miles away ) are outstanding. Using Netflix connected to internet brings in breathtaking movie theater quality entertainment and with 120 refresh rate, 64.5 in. screen, excellent built-in speakers, and price of $698.00 , we love it.

Very nice

4KTV September 3, 2017

Ok so I've only had this tv for a few days so it's probably not fair to give a review yet but whatever. I love it so far. The 4K is amazing. I watched a nature show on Netflix "the hunt" and the picture is gorgeous. 1080p looks gorgeous as well. The remote is very simple and downloading the roku app to your phone lets you use your phone as the remote which I think is very cool. I can't tell you how many times I've lost a remote. Everyone has there phone on them most of the time so it works out well............. I will say at first I was getting this weird ever so slightly blurr on people's faces when I first hooked it up, but thanks to a previous reviewer a couple reviews up on here for giving some good advise to turn off the "noise reduction" setting, in the expert picture settings, located in settings, on the roku app, this cleared the hazy look completely up. The only thing I could complain about is how wide the feet are. If you're trying to put this on something exsisting you'll have to buy a stand or legs that fit where the wall mount would go. You would think it would come with a decent stand but I've also noticed even most expensive ones just have the feet. Regardless the tv is huge, gorgeous, the roku built in is nice, and you can't beat the price for this size 4K.............. like I said, I've only had it a few days but so far I love it....

Great TV

KW1556 October 29, 2017

I have had 65S401 for a week now and could not be happier. I am a Roku user so the decision was between this TV and a non-smart TV/separate Roku stick. The integration of built in Roku with OTA antenna channels was the deciding factor. OTA channels show up as an app just like other Roku apps. Roku also allows you to pause/rewind OTA for up to 90 minutes. This integration has allowed me to move from previous three remotes down to one. Picture quality seems very good to me although I am sure better quality exists at triple the price. The 65S401 appears to be very similar to the 65S405 that appears in other stores. If you are looking to cut the cord with cable or satellite, this TV is for you. PS: Walmart does not always have this TV on display as there is only so much room to fit these in store. You must ask for it by model number.

Great price, great picture, worth it.

thexfilez August 27, 2017

Had this a month now. Love it. I have it mounted on my living room wall with LED lights on the back. Setup was easy. My only advice for people that experience some pixelation/blur while watching regular blu-rays. Download the ROKU app on your phone, go into "Expert Picture Settings" and turn off the Noise Reduction. It is night and day when you do this. I read complaints about this on Amazon and that was my only hesitation about buying. But after doing this (recommended by an Amazon reviewer), it worked perfectly. It was something about blur algorithms to try and smooth out the picture, but actually makes it look worse for regular blu-rays. Turning it off makes it look 100x better. Enjoy.

This is an OUTSTANDING TV

BadNarc September 8, 2017

Did my homework on this set, was waiting for Black Friday Deals but the price was right on this one and the reviews are excellent. Stopped by my local Super Center, compared it to every set on display, and the picture was the best on this TV. Ordered one, took it home and set it up which is a breeze, and it is perfect. Immediately ordered a second set for my Grandson and just set it up in his room, it has the deepest colors that are perfect in my opinion. I have 3 more 65" TV's in my house, 2 Visio's and a Samsung, and none of them get the excellent picture of this set. I HIGHLY recommend TCL to anyone looking for a TV, I am waiting for their new line with a 75" later this year.

I love my new Roku TV

ShawnyKS August 19, 2017

I purchased this TV late one night. I noticed the box was damaged. It was the last one left at the Legends Walmart. The sales associate opened the box and we took a quick look and everything looked okay. Got it home and discovred the screen was damaged. I noticed the $698 TCL TVs at the Walmart on California in Topeka the day before. They had several of them. The next afternoon I took the damaged TV to the Topeka store to exchange it. I did it all using the Walmart Pay app. It was a breeze. The receipts are all stored electronically and the exchange is done electronically. I love this TV. It fits perfectly on my mantle above my fireplace. I'm now pondering if I really need to pay for Google Fiber TV. I'll keep it for now, but I'm not too sure about the near future. I have Netflix and to watch the 4K I have to go through the Roku TV smart app, I can't go through my Google Fiber TV because they do not support 4K programming yet. Hopefully that will change soon.

Decent for the Price

B2daisA September 1, 2017

I was hesitant about the TCL brand, but I also was about Vizio originally. I was in the market for a 65" 4K display with HDR so this TV always showed up in my searches, but was never considered. Mainly because it was similarly priced to the Vizio's, which was a preferred brand. When the price dropped below 700 I actually gave this one a closer look. Decided to try it out since the price was so good. I've had this a few days so here is my initial impressions. Pros: Lightweight 4K content looks pretty good HDR content is hit or miss but could be a result of the source of the material Built in Roku Cons: Backlight bleeds through all over but mainly near the bottom and the sides of the screen Not sure if the picture settings keep resetting or if i just have to change them within each Roku app Not enough picture settings on the tv itself Having to use the Roku app on my phone to access additional settings My entertainment center for this tv hasn't gotten here yet so I'll update this if i feel i need to once i get everything hooked up. I'll watch some HDR 4k Blurays and see if the quality justifies an update.
