TCL 8,000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner, Black, W8W9E2-B3

The central AC went out in late July and this sucker did a fantastic job. It was in the opposite side of the house in a bedroom (only window it would fit) and still did a fantastic job making the entire house slightly better than tolerable. The room it was in was freezing.

This air conditioner works so well. my house is not very well insulated so in the evenings during the summer it gets hot and stays hot. After installing this AC unit, it stays comfortable all day long. I would definitely buy another model like this.

The TCL 8000 BTU air conditioner is a quiet and affordable option. I love the convenient remote features, including the remote control, phone app, and compatibility with Alexa. It's great being able to turn it on before I get home. Overall, it's a worthwhile purchase.

Bought this unit since it was affordable. It definitely serves its purpose but takes a bit longer to cool down the bedroom. I use this as a supplement to my Central Air in my front bedroom. According to the specs it's within SQ FT. For the price though I can't complain too much.

Air conditioner cools well, but it has a crackling noise or a popping noise that is so annoying, it goes away slightly when the compressor kicks in. Not sure whether it is gonna last, I like the WIFI feature and love the darker color but the popping is so irritating.

I first purchased this unit online and due to broken fins had to take it back. I then bought another unit from my local Walmart and upon opening it found many bent fins. There was no packing protection on the back side of the air conditioner where the fins are so it must have gotten damaged during movement through Walmart as the boxes weren't overly damaged. If you have dealt with a window air conditioner before you know the fins are very sensitive. Beware of the packaging when purchasing.

Can't even use the product, I opened the box to see that pieces were missing bags that held parts were already ripped open, called customer support and the best the could do is a partial refund so I can go find and buy the missing parts I need myself instead of making sure that this product had everything to begin with as it is clearly a returned product that they just turned around and resold without a second thought.

You plug them in they stink really bad and the next day or two they have rust running out of them we've got pictures

the first AC was damaged I returned it no problem the second one I got yesterday was already used I can tell cuz there were no holding straps and you could tell where they screwed in the side curtains I'm returning this one too and I'm done don't buy but on the other hand it blows ice ice cold I bought one last month and it works great

I bought this on August 16. It worked great for 6 weeks. Then, it it quit blowing cold air. I tried cleaning the filter, making sure it wasn't tipped to far and everything else the book said. It blows air but warm air. Yes, it was on air conditioner mode. I had my brother that works with hvac look at it. He said I got a dud.
