Received the TCL 85 in from Walmart. It arrived 4 days early. I replaced a Hisense 85 in tv that failed after 8 months. Hisense warranty service was terrible and finally after almost a month hisense refunded my money. I am amazed at the quality of the picture on this TCL tv. I needed to call customer service from TCL and it was very good in helping me install apps and connecting directv to remote control

Amazing cover picture better than I've ever seen on a TV work flawlessly only, I could see is that the sound on certain apps don't work well not sure if it is the TV or the sound bar that I have

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a Sony OLED fan and never thought I would ever switch to QLED. However, OLED doesn't get bright enough. Especially in a bright room. It was a "no brainer" to consider TCL MQ8! There is a reason this tv won so many awards at CES this year. I was absolutely blown away at the quality of this panel. the colors are extremely vibrant and rich. the 2300 dimming zones on this panel had me thinking it was an OLED! I could not believe how well it handled dark scenes...TCL came swinging hard with the QM8 as a top tier flagship tv. if you're looking for inky black levels, bright nits panel with incredible colors. then look no further. buy this TV!

It is an amazing tv with great images and sound ( I suggest a separate sound system) but the images are amazing

This TV has the most amazing picture.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the TV, but after a week could not connect to the internet. Tried calling the provider, but not their issue. Called TCL support and Riz was very helpful going thru troubleshooting process. I am giving 5 stars on the faith this was a one time event and I don't have to go thru the system reset again

Excellent TV, features, and picture for the price. I'm not dropping over $5k on a Samsung, but this TCL is an excellent alternative. It does struggle a bit with audio output for sound bars, the navigation has features to be desired, and the OS just doesn't have the smoothness that my Hisense U8 does. However, the built in speakers are shockingly decent and the picture quality for the price is outstanding... better than the Hisense.

When selecting a movie with Dolby Vision, the content seems considerably darker and has less HDR. This cannot be manually adjusted as the QM8 locks into DV mode with only three picture setting adjustment options, Dolby Vision bright/dark/IQ. User brightness adjustment is no longer an option. I know on my Sony A90j, the picture adjustments menu has the option to adjust picture settings even when the TV detects and selects Dolby Vision mode. Firmware update will hopefully be initiated in the near future.

The TV is great, Walmart customer service not so much. I added the protection plan at time of purchase. Supposed to receive it by email within 24-48 hours. Four days later still nothing and customer service gives me the number for Allstate to follow up with them. Walmart took my money, I shouldn't be doing any follow up with a third party.
