Don't be fooled by its small size- this little guy works its' butt off! I have this in a room of about 145 sq. ft in a giant window, on the sunnier end of a trailer and it has yet to disappoint. No freezing up or power issues and I use it constantly. Just wanting to pass on a little reminder to other buyers when you're setting it up, the drain plug to this unit is a small black removable rubber lip on the bottom side, and it's very crucial to remove it before you get this thing going unless you want moldy water building up and making your unit smell horribly/freeze up and cause who knows what breathing problems !! Something that seems so small and easily overlooked has the most dire consequences!! It mentions this in the assembly guide but my installer(husband) just scanned through it of course. Very satisfied with it nonetheless. Works hard, doesn't make my old electrical wiring trip, very small and space saving, not too loud, and it was an amazing deal!!

We are counting the days until Easter weekend for install the TCL 6000 btu air conditioner in the living room because wee need an air conditioner in my grandmother house a year ago. The item weight is my only concern for install it in the window but a proper support must be enough according to manual instructions. Externally it looks and feels like lasting and good quality.

I will say I was surprised by the dry feature to remove the humidity which is a huge problem in my bedroom. My bedroom is pretty big and this has it like Alaska. I sleep peacefully under the quilt. I don't understand the accordion sides. They don't work at all for my window. The design on them is weird. But other than that it works great.

This window air conditioner works great for our needs. We have it in our bedroom, which gets sunlight most of the day and tends to get very hot, especially during the summer. The unit comes with accordion fold sides that can expand out to various sized windows. These are white, matching the unit itself. While it provides a uniform appearance to the window once the unit is installed, I wish they were thicker or a darker color to block out more light. As you can see in the image associated with my review, they let in a lot of light. I also worry my cat may eventually figure out how to push them just right to make everything fall out or escape the house. For now, we have it additionally sealed with other means to prevent this. The unit also comes with the screws and foam needed to install and seal the window to ensure a proper seal. It does not come with any equipment to make a more secure attachment to the house than setting on the windowsill. We use metal straps to secure our air conditioning units to our house, as we live in earthquake country. The unit itself works well to cool a small to average sized room. We find it helps cool our room well, even when the sunlight is coming in thru the accordion sides. We plan to put some foam in the side area to block out the rest of the light. The unit is kind of loud, but not overly annoying, which was an important concern for us since our window is near the window of our neighbor's house and we did not want to disturb them with the air conditioner fan and compressor noise. Overall, we like this unit, I just wish the side pieces blocked out more light.

The unit came with a bent piece that I had to fix. I purchased this for the bedroom and it does cool the room down but its very noisy and when on cool mode it has condensation on the outside of it. Sorry but I cant recommend this unit. Very disappointed

we had this in for 2 weeks before it started acting weird on us. Such as blowing out only warm/cool not cold air. I chalked it up to it being new but last night it stopped blowing cold air and started blowing hot air. it made my house almost 90 degrees in the middle of the night in Maine..that's not heard of it was horrible my pets were over hot and I woke up hot and sick. I will NEVER buy this brand again.

There was no remote in the box and customer service is making issues over the picture of the serial number being slighlty smeared even though that was how the box arrived. I am giving them one more chance to send a remote before returning. On a side note make sure to save a picture of that serial number on the box or the warranty is moot.

I bought this unit to replace a broken unit made by Midea. The unit I received had the same problem as the one I was replacing, which is a problem with the cord, and upon looking closer, they're the exact same cord and unit completely, with a different brand name
