TCL Smart 12,000 BTU Through-the-Wall Air Conditioner, 115V, E-Star, Remote Included, White, W12T9E1-A

For an off brand AC, this thing rocks. It works better than the Fridgedare that it replaced. Don't think twice, this is a great unit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the TV for maybe 6+ months. Picture and sound are fine. streaming works well. But the remote control is very primitive. There is no numeric keypad so you cannot input a channel number , you are left scrolling. The downloadable remote has the same flaw. Online the description stated a simple remote; I didn't realize how simple. Would recommend for streaming but would not recommend this particular model for over the air tv viewing.

I am thus far happy with the unit. Just got it a week ago. I'm in a 1 bdrm apt. The unit cools my whole apt. The only thing I was not happy about was I had to call twice about not receiving my remote control for the unit.

Cord is NOT 9 foot-it is 6 foot and cord is on left side . You may not need 9 foot cord but may need more than 6 to reach if placement is high on the wall and would need longer if you need the cord on right side. I called TCL and they confirmed that 9 foot cord information is incorrect. Otherwise looks like a nice unit.

I bought this unit 3 summers ago and this summer I am having lots of problem with it shutting off but turning back on by its self. took it out of window to clean throughout and still does the same issue.

Works okay but not really better than my former 10,000 btu wall air conditioner of another brand (this new one being a 12,000 btu). I really wish I could hear the TV better over the noise, too (my older one was much quieter than this one, but finally the old one died and I had to get this.)

Literally does not work. Returned it. Do not buy

Do not buy !! Took it out from the box and Put it on the wall plugged in and wouldn't even start . Brand new in the box !

When set at 61 degrees on COOL, fan set on HIGH, unit would not cool living room below 81 deg. Blows warmer air and not cool air at all. Very disappointing. This does not cool when it's 95 degrees outside temperature.
