Easy to assemble with no missing parts. Assembled kayak racks were very sturdy and held all kayaks securely (12' to 10.5' lengths with weights between 45 and 97 lbs.) without any problems. The straps provided are the pull to tighten type which have held okay but I feel safer with at least one strap being a ratchet type for each kayak.
Great item. Can hold any size kayak that I have put out on there. We travel at interstate speed across Nebraska finding new fishing spots and are perfect for when you want to go camping.
Had to return item and re-ordered first set was missing screw holes so I sent them back did not have any issues would re-order on Wal-Mart
Included cinch straps are too short to secure a kayak. Had to purchase longer straps, otherwise great product. Assembly is easy and can be done in less than 15 minutes. I use them on my Nissan Altima with no issues.
The racks themselves seem sturdy and work well. Overall they are good. What sets them back is the assembly process and the instructions. It took a lot of brute force to put them together. The rubber used for the base is very stiff and hard to get the bars through. Had to use a rubber mallet to convince them to go in. This pretty tiring after doing it for 8 racks. The instructions were only a diagram. There was nothing to tell you how to do it. I would probably buy some that were pre-assembled if i needed to get more. But the price was right.
JUNK. These racks bend too easily. The bolts did not stay secure. We had to travel to Colorado. A 10 hour drive. Took us 12 hours because we had to stop every few miles to adjust the kayaks. One even rack even completely broke and we had to dismantle it along the interstate.
this product seems on the surface as a great product. The hardware would not line up they shorted my 16 nuts the rubber bracket holders were smashed together had to use a hammer to get them in the rubber then bolt holes were not lined up all and all this product is a piece of junk. look elsewhere to buy your brackets!!!!!!!
