Teal Elite Humane Mouse Trap, 4-Count Pack, Child-Resistant Indoor Rodent Traps

If you are a person that loves all living creatures (just not in your home), this is for you. I simply placed peanut butter, covered dog food in the trapped portion, and within 12 hours I caught both of the little Rascals that were hiding in my camper roof. I was able to safely take them to the woods and release them. I'm not sure if they survived, but at least I didn't in their lives. AnyWho, this thing works get it.

Work very well. More roomy for the captured mice (compared to cheaper small traps.) The CLEAR PLASTIC “capture %26 release” Mouse Traps (compared to the colored plastic ones) are easier to see inside of if you caught any mice over night. Very easy to release a mouse outside into the wild. I much prefer this to having to deal with a dead mouse. They quickly scurry away after you open the release end door of the mouse trap. You never have to touch the mouse. Just wash %26 clean trap with included scrub brush after releasing any captured mouse. Very satisfied.

They definitely work for smaller mice. Our basement this winter became nearly infested. It was awful. We filled the holes we needed to, but the mice remained. I got these and my husband set them up. We caught about 6 mice. We did have a rat though. That rat was able to reach in and get the bait out but not get stuck inside.

After trying several styles of traps, chemical deterrence, and poisons but the mice were getting braver. These traps are easy to add bait, safe around dogs, and easy to clean for next use. After months of disappointments with other traps, all the mice were gone in less than a week.

I was extremely happy with the style and operation of this product, however I put 2 around to catch him but fortunately he left before I could catch him. The exterminator put poison packs and glue strips around, but I threw them away because I could'nt deal with that idea and immediately purchased the humane traps !

Bought these to humanely catch and release mice that find their way into our barn. More than half the time when I check them, the trap has closed but there is no mouse inside. So either the mice get out, or the trap springs before the get in (somehow). I'm not sure which. But when I do find a mouse in one, I am happy to have them.

These work great as long as you release the mice outside soon after they've been trapped. As other reviewers have said, the mice can pull the door up and escape. That happened at least twice when they were inside for more than a few minutes. The traps have 3 major design flaws. First, the door should not have vent holes, their tiny claws can pull the door up with those. Second, the spring on the door needs to be much stronger. Third, the door needs to be a fraction of an inch longer so there is not a tiny space beneath the door, they can also get their tiny claws in that space and pull the door up. If they would make these modifications, the traps would work perfectly.

Works partially. We caught two mice but they were outside of the trap with their tails caught in the door. Not that humane when they rub their tails raw for hours trying to escape! The trap needs to be at least 3" longer. The mice trip the door but escape.

I was trying to be humane and prevent my cat from getting them. Didn't catch a single mouse in any of the four traps I set out. They were able to steal the peanut butter right off the pedal mechanism w/out triggering the door to shut. However, if you walk to hard or close to it, the vibration of your steps would trigger it to drop the door.

We put these in our car to try to catch mice, but they only fed mice. The mice loved them - they managed to eat the bait, poop all over the inside of the container, and walked back out. Traps were properly set, and we tested them on placement and removal. We wanted a humane option but ended up going with snap traps - which worked fine.
