After five years - Very good saw

DrDan July 3, 2025

I did the alignment of the blade to the miter slot to a few mil. I have checked it several times and never had to readjust. I worked to carefully align the fence to the miter slot again to a few mil. I am shocked how it had held it. I have not readjusted it. I aligned the angle indicator but did not have a good angle measure device. I eventually bought one and aligned it. I find it consistently coming back to 90 degrees spot on (measuring angle carefully). The miter gauge supplied was junk. I have truly been Styrofoam for such an inexpensive saw. I am very careful on how I treat it. The mechanism to raise the blade gets stiff.

Rigid 10” table saw

Frankpallo October 23, 2020

I looked at reviews on several different portable table saws. This saw had good ratings. I have no issues with it. Works great and easily folds down for storage.

Easy to assemble

Jeff1987 November 4, 2020

After reading all the bad reviews, turns out they are ALL due to the assembly. Happy to say that if you take your time with building the stand and closely reading the instructions, it assembles well! I'm stoked to get things running, because there were no negative reviews on the operation.

Good saw

Jordie0318 April 3, 2021

Ok so it does take a bit to figure out assembly of the stand because of poor documentation, but the saw it's self is great, out of the box the blade was true at 90, the 45 was off by 1/2 degree. Takes some YouTube research to figure out how to true the 45, but it can be done. My only gripe with this saw is the fence, it was way too loose and would move when cutting, after playing with it for a bit there is an adjustment screw to tighten the back end to make it better, but I'm not confident that it will keep performing. Overall for the price point this is a nice saw, is it perfect no, but you can get professional results if you take the time to set it up properly. Nice entry level saw.

Didn't come with a manual

burner918 June 19, 2020

I just bought this and can't seem to find the manual in the box. When I searched online, there doesn't seem to be a manual for the R4514. There are manuals for the R4515 and R4513, R4512, R4511, but none for the R4514. What am I missing here? Could the manual be hiding under the saw taped to the underside or inside perhaps? It shouldn't be this hard to find the manual.

Nice saw... warranty and " Lifetime service agreem

Gmcquire September 20, 2022

Purchased a Rigid R4513 back in 2015 from Homedepot on the advice it had a lifetime service agreement... im a homeowner who is also a Carpenter so this saw wasn't used much more than the average homeowner would. I decided to register for the lifetime service agreement and sent in a photo of the receipt. It was returned as " date on receipt not legible".. so I scanned it and sent again.. returned second time and was told " date still not legible, send barcode from original box" well, I dont think many of us are I a habit of keeping a 3' square box...so I called customer service to explain and was told they couldn't provide the service agreement because I had no proof of purchase date Of course.. now with mo warranty.... the electric brake went less than 2 months later.. so I did without Overall.. I like my saw.. it comes out 3 or 4 times a summer and has never seen rain ... never comes out in winter cause I don't have any sheltered place to use it....and it works well for a homeowner.. so one would expect with minimal use.. never seeing moisture... always cleaned off after use the LAST thing you would expect is the motor to start slowing down while cutting some spruce.... reduce power to half...and stop working mid cut...new motor is more expensive than entire saw... and of course it quits as I'm about to start laying engineered flooring in my house To summarize, I hope Rigid cust service sees this and reaches out soon... I have another company that sent me a new sander, 2 batteries, and a charger simply because pds wouldn't stick.... I may have to investigate replacing my 7 yr old barely used saw with another brand..... Hope to hear from CS.....hope Thanks for reading G This saw gets a 2.. good saw.. just exp

Inaccurate garbage that exudes cost cutting

SCF2025 September 22, 2025

This Ridgid R4514 is an inaccurate piece of garbage that just seems to be just another victim of cost cutting. I had a Ridgid R4510 that was an excellent table saw with good features and was very convenient to use. Later, I purchased an R4513 table saw and was horrified that it was actually much worse than the R4510. Fast forward to now and I tried the R4514 and much to my surprise, Ridgid actually made it much worse. The saw was barely assembled in that what was assembled was all loose, the included hardware was very cheap and defective, the fench does not store easily, the tilt lock doesn't work, etc. I could go on about how bad the saw is as compared to previous generations. The average DIYer might think it's ok but as a serious DIYer and tradesperson, I think Ridgid is better than this junk. I have corded Ridgid tools from 20 years ago and they are Every bit as good and tools from DeWalt, Milwaukee, Bosch, Hitachi, eyc. But today Ridgid builds cost cut junk! Don't waste your money on this saw. Pay a little extra and get something from DeWalt or Bosch. He'll, even Skills work drive table saw is far superior to the Ridgid saw.
