I picked up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants Unleashed for the Nintendo Switch mostly because my kid is deep in a Turtle phase—but honestly, it ended up being way more fun (and sweeter) than I expected. The game has that perfect mix of action and silliness that TMNT is known for. My child loves choosing between the four turtles and switching up their moves, and the combat is simple enough that he can jump right in without getting frustrated. The bright, comic-book style visuals pull him in instantly, and the humor lands exactly right for younger players. What surprised me most is how much this game encourages teamwork and exploration. We'll sit together figuring out how to tackle a level or cheering each other on during tricky fights. It's become one of those games that turns a regular evening into a shared adventure. I've watched my kid's confidence grow as he learns combos, solves mini-objectives, and excitedly explains each villain to me like I'm the student and he's the sensei. Performance on the Switch is smooth, and it's a great “pick up and play” game for shorter sessions—perfect for after school or before bedtime. If you have a kid who loves the Turtles (or just loves heroes, humor, and colorful action), this is a great choice. It's fun, lighthearted, and full of those little moments that make gaming with your child feel special. Cowabunga, indeed.
My grandson is a huge Ninja Turtle lover. I was so excited to find it at Walmart just days before Christmas. I asked for it to be shipped and it was delivered straight to our home exactly the date and time they told me when ordering. I can't wait to see his precious face of sheer excitement when he opens it.
I bought it for my grandson cuz he loves Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and when he opened it on his birthday on January 30th he let out a squeal he was absolutely Beyond excited and I was told by his other grandmother that he plays it all the time so definitely must get for your children
This is a christmas gift for my grandson once he opposite and looks at it and plays it.Then I'll give a better review
I bought it because of the nostalgia and thought my kids would like it. Quality of the graphics are sub par but that is reflected in the price.
I am a fan of TMNT, so I had to get the game. Game play is ok, you have several moves to learn and acquire through skill points. It has somewhat of a story line, most of the characters are new, "newbies". They are long waits between missions that is horrible, you have to wait on the cut scene to load up. You can build each characters skill level up.
I am a fan of all the other turtle games, but when it came to this one and another one called wrap of turtles had been some two of the worst games I've ever played. They are really that bad. You're not getting a good value. It's a horrible game in my eyes really miss the mark on this one. The game when you get to play is fun but after every story line or every level you have to wait a long time for it to save. You spend most of your time waiting for the game to save than you do playing.
Overall rating - 5/10 Level design - 2/10 Gameplay design - 8/10 Character design - 1/10 Long time TMNT fan here! Upon loading into the game, everything seemed very colorful %26 inviting. Unfortunately, I couldn't be more wrong. The characters are very strange to say the least. Several enemies have grotesque dangling nipple rings? %26 questionable features. The redeemable code makes Leonardo look like he's not wearing pants. Not quite what I expected but also not unexpected everything considered. After the first few levels there were unbearable glitches. I found myself stuck into several walls doing questionable things. These glitches completely overshadowed an otherwise great designed game. The levels are relatively all the same with several being reused countless times. Outright games should have spent more time on LOTS of different aspects.
My 7 years old seems to like this game but the loading times are ridiculously long. There's too much character talking in between levels and not enough playtime. You can only play single or two player even though there are four turtles. The level design is poor and occasionally will prevent you from progressing smoothly through the level. I would not purchase this game again.
