very easy with GMC planning for this addition with preexisting, perfectly aligned holes. I used machine screws and locking washers with standard nuts. Works like a charm for half the cost of the "high speed, low drag " varieties

Not as advertised
While the unit is very functional the ad is very misleading. I bought this same unit elsewhere for less money. Paid more here because it appeared clear by the product description that the harness to connect directly to my truck was included. It was not, nor will they send me one. I will buy the harness from another vendor or wire directly as I did for my other vehicle just a month ago. I'm not looking for anything for free but I do expect to get what was advertised and what I paid for at the price they offered it at. If I was mistaken about it being included, they sure couldn't show me where that is stated. No response from Walmart and the vendor had the "Too bad so sad" attitude. I recommend finding a supplier that gives you what you paid for.
