The weight of the throw seems about 5 pounds. Perfect weight and perfect size for a lap throw. I would recommend for older people and young children.

I wanted a small weighted blanket while watching tv; this is perfect…weight %26 size!

Perfect for a wound up kid. My 5 year old boy is constantly going. Constantly. I got this to help settle him down when he lays down. So far, he likes it. I cannot comment on tears/quality as we just got and opened it. But I can try to update of anything happens. It is soft but not fuzzy/fluffy but it is comfy. Perfect weight - not going to squish them! My son likes that he felt some pressure but not so much that he couldn't move/breathe. Also, it is not too heavy for an adult to have in their lap or even draped over the shoulders while reading/resting - really helps muscles. We, his parents, now want one for ourselves each!!! But honestly, the weighted blankets are usually 10-15 lbs starting out, so I was glad to find a 5 lb one. It is small, but that's what it says it is. Exactly as described. So - If you're like me, and never tried this and aren't sure about spending big bucks, please try this one and at least see if it helps in any way. I think it will. So so so thankful we got this!

I use this as my feet warmer in bed. I probably should've got a heavier weight. Definitely do that if you're using it to reduce anxiety. This size is fine for kids under 5.

My 9yo son loves this! It is a good weight and helps him feel cozy and secure. I got the glow-in-the-dark space one. It is so very soft! True to the color the images show. I gave it 4 stars because I have not washed it to determine how it holds up, and also because the glow-in-the-dark feature is not as great as I was hoping. It glows and it glows very brightly, BUT it requires very bright concentrated light to “charge” (bright flashlight held directly in front of each glow spot) and it fades very quickly after.

We've only had the blanket a couple weeks and the weight beads are already leaking out all over the place.

I got this weighted blanket to help my son sleep and all the weighted beads are on the edges of the blanket and theres none in the middle of the blanket. I've tried to see if they can move to the middle but no they are all sewn into the squares. Maybe I just got a defective one but Im not going to chance getting another one forbit to happen again so I'm just return it and go with a different seller.
