Texas Instruments BA II Plus Engineering Profession Calculator, Black

Calculator is great but Walmart is misrepresenting the calculator. The silver one shown is not what I received. I received the new, black and red ba ii plus professional. Not a huge deal for me; I'm ok with the newer version.

This calculator does everything anyone in a finance course could possibly do. The instruction book is helpful as well. My only gripe is that the the calculator easily slips out of my hand because of its smooth plastic on the sides. If I could change anything, it would be to place either a raised dimple surface on both sides, or embed thin rubber strips. If you keep your calculator on a flat surface all the time, then this doesn't apply.

One of the few financial calculators that have PayBack functions. Only a few differences between the TI BA II Plus and the BAII Plus Professional; calculating PB is one of them. For just a few dollars more, having that function is worth it if you are taking a (college level) finance course. It's the official calculator of the business college where I attend. Look the look, comes with a leather like case. May be nice if it had a hard case like the non pro model but not a "con". Great value, great functions, and easy to use.

I just bought it for my accounting classes; haven't used it much yet. I would however like a lit background display. This will help me see the numbers better.

[Employee of walmartcanada] I used to have the previous generation of this but had to buy a new one when I lost the original. The image shown on this page is the previous generation, but I believe you get the new one shipped to you since TI doesn't make the old one anymore. You can search the internet for what the new one looks like. It is redesigned and the build quality is so much worse, it feels like it would break as soon as it falls. The BA II Plus is the must have calculator for almost any finance related course, so there really is no way out of using it. This does the job of a financial calc, but I would recommend searching the used market for the older generation before you decide to buy the inferior quality of this new version.

The picture should be updated to the newer version of the calculator. I was looking for the older version (just like the feel of it) but got the newer version instead. Kinda disappointed, just thought I found the older version here. But if you are looking for the newer version, it's a good product.

It does not serve its purpose as a calculator for me. It provides results in 2 decimal places. It automatically rounds up your result which is a problem if you need the result for other calculations. So if you need to find calculations in multiple dp, don't buy this calculator. It feels like a simple calculator, not an advanced calculator.

Unfortunately, the calculator I received has a different look than what is in the picture. I ordered this calculator in large part for the look to replace the one I had that looked like the one in the picture.

The calculator that I received was different than the one pictured or described. The calculator was a cheaper and more bulky version. They need to update the picture on the website. Was disappointed with the quality considering how much it cost.
