The taste is smooth and sophisticated- not the kind of alcohol that burns your throat when you drink it . What I love the most it is to mix with different drinks . I host cocktail mixing at my house and we used this brand to make a French 75 and it was perfection in a glass. We also took a shot just to get a feel of the alcohol and it was so smooth (still ruff like Gin but at the same time super smooth going down) we all appreciated it.

It makes me feel more sophisticated to serve old fashioned drinks. This has a lightness to it that liven ups the drink. It is smooth and a bit citrusy that gives a refreshing balance to our drinks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always been a Tanqueray girl, but the Botanist Islay Dry Gin was smoother. That made mixing drinks taste much better. The distilllation was on point by the Botanist! It's a very clean taste! The craftsmanship of the bottle was very nice. I had to pick this up as this size was hard to find, and it's in major demand because I kept watching it sell out and restock before getting it. Gin is the best liquor for not worrying about your blood sugar. I'll definitely be switching because I exclusively drink Gin and usually pair it with Cranberry Juice, and this one is great.

I'm into mixed drinks and I wouldn't know how to serve this any other way. It's smooth tasting and the bottle is so beautiful. It's really refreshing for hot summers day with tonic on ice with a sprig of mint or a slice of citrus as garnish.
