The Children's Place Boys Pull-On Terry Shorts, 3-Pack, Sizes XS-XXL

Second time buying these. Now all 4 of my boys wear them. The fabric is a nice weight, soft, and washes well. The comfy elastic and adjustable drawstring at the waist work well for our slim to average size kids. The length is also nice, falling a bit above the knee. Because they're soft, we wear them as pajama shorts or for everyday. These are a nice upgrade from all the cheap polyester that is available. My twins (almost 7) wear a 7/8, my 9 yr old wears a 10/12., and my almost 11 year old wears size 14. So I guess they run a bit small, although I didn't use the size chart but sized according to an older set we had.

I always liked the Children's place because it sold basic pieces that were medium quality at a reasonable price. However, I am sad to discover today after I got my delivered package that the quality has decreased exponentially. I bought a few shorts last year but were not enough so I bought the exact ones this year. Their description is exactly the same, 60% cotton, 40% polyester. Once I inspected, they seems so think and the fabric a lot more translucent. So I grab the old ones and touch them and I could feel a difference, I thought maybe it is my imagination; then, I grab my scale and weighted all. The new ones weight 139 grams and the old ones 179 grams. Now, this tracks, lightweight fabric (100–170 GSM- grams per square meter), midweight (170–340 GSM). I am very disappointed that they are selling shorts made of lightweight fabric when they used to sell it made of Midweight fabric. Also, the old one used to be made in INDONESIA, and the new ones are made in Pakistan.
