My family enjoyed this rendition of The Color Purple. It was filled with beautiful musical numbers and vivid conversations from the talented cast members. We also loved the atmosphere, environment and creativity of the movie. I will definitely watch it more than one time.

WONDERFUL MOVIE I do not like musicals and I was initially not happy to find that this was. a musical but it was so wonderuful that I have watched it several times. it is moving and a great story told well even in a musical. I love this movie and I am surprised much because I do not Not like musicals. This is a must - see movie. The story is compelling and real , the ending is joyous , made me cry.

I Love this version of the Color Purple! Just as good as the original! Adding the choreography %26 the singing is tremendous! With a new generation of actors! Excellent, excellent, excellent! Had to add to my collection!

This is a completely different view of the original movie, but it's shot beautifully. It's a colorful take on a poignant story.

One of the best movies, ever!!! What a great purchase!

Well done musical type movie. Cinematography was really good. That being said, the original 1985 "The Color Purple" starring Whoopi Goldberg , in my opinion is a better movie. The 2023 leaves out lots of the parts of the 1985 version, and has them organized differently and in different settings, etc... 1985 movie also had much better character development in the movie. About 2 hrs. 20 minutes in length. 1985 version is about 3 1/2 hours in length and better.

I was glad to see that this movie vwas still available. Even happier that it was less expensive than when I first saw it for sale. It is good to buy the item from Walmart rather than a third party that would have made it internally without credit to the studio or actors.

Good movie. Enjoyed most of the music.
