"Value does the work and color gets the credit" - it's a cliche by now but it's true. Get the values right and you're 80% of the way to a great painting, no matter what actual colors you use. These little Value Finders are great - you can lay them on top of a painting or a reference image or a plein air view and get a very good idea of the values you need hit. The cut-outs make this easier than other Value Finders to use, and the price can't be beat. I buy many at a time because I tend to lose them.

All through this pandemic I have ordered supplies from Jerry's and am very pleased with my supplies. This shading scale is laminated and with the indentations surrounds the area with the shade and it is so easy to spot any differences. I expect it will be a great tool going forward.
