Great drama with subtitles.

THIS IS A FANTASTIC DVD. EXCELLENT IN LOOK IN THE LIFE AND TIMES OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH II AS A NEW QUEEN AT THE AGE OF 25. A IN LOOK IN HER PRIVATE LIFE ,HER MARRIAGE BEHIND PRIVATE DOORS IN WESTMININSTER AND BUCKINGHAM PALACE. WELCOME INTO POWER AND PRIVILEGE. EXQUISITE ACTING AND HISTORY. MAGNIFICENT DETAIL AND STORY OF THE WORLDS MOST FAMOUS MONARCHY.

The production values are superb. Beautiful sets, costumes, and great acting. John Lithgow and Claire Foy are outstanding, as are the actors portraying the Duke of Windsor, Queen Mary and Princess Margaret. Matt Smith as Philip has a distracting habit of lowering his head and looking up which isn't one of Philip's habits. The only real disconcerting part is the liberty taken with history. For instance, Wallis Simpson was already in France when Edward VIII made the abdication speech. His three brothers were with him at that moment, not her. However, the series is still outstanding.

Excellent series about the current Queen of England. Badly packaged for shipment. Broken pieces inside the boxes. I am playing the discs for quality control and will update soon.

We were hooked from episode one.

Absolutely wonderful series. Can't wait for the 5th season.
