The Doux Block Party Anti-Humidity Defining Gel 16 oz

Every time a try a product from the Doux, I say it's my favorite. The Doux Block Party antihumidty gel is my most FAVORITE wash and go product for my 4c hair! I am on day 5 of defined curls I use their curl leave in refresher spary to help wake the curls up from wearing my bonnet for bedtime. You won't regret this purchase.

It's thick, not runny at all, which I prefer. Mild scent. I saw multiple reviews saying it would last past a week without budging, and I must say that I agree. I'm writing this now with a week-old wash and go, and almost every strand still looks like day 1. Any frizzy ones are from me separating some clunks after the fact. This gel held up much better than others against nightly wrapping. With sweat, it held up maybe slightly better than others; my roots have softened but are still weirdly defined. No flakes at all, even though it's the most crunchy thing I've ever come across. I applied it in sections (wearing gloves to reduce friction) and used a diffuser to dry. Next time I'll take the extra step to really separate the hair after it's dry for some more volume.

I had seen this product on TikTok so I came to Walmart to purchase the item. At first I was skeptical to buy this because each review said it was part of a promotion and all were good reviews. Then one day I was back on TikTok looking up hair types and I saw this product again and the product looked amazing in the videos I saw so I decided to buy it. I'm so glad that I did. I really love this product. The block Party hair gel works so well for my curls. It makes my curls look amazing curls and it lasts. The gel does not leave my hair hard. My hair stays soft while using it. The product is not sticky on my hair nor is it heavy on my hair. It makes my hair shine. This gel works wonders on wavy hair and natural curls. The only downside for me with this gel and other products by The Doux is that their products are really overpriced. Overall, wonderful product.

I am testing out gels for my upcoming trip to Hawaii. This gel definitely blocks the humidity for up to five days. I like the smell of the gel; it doesn't have an overpowering scent. I didn't like that the gel congealed after my workout classes, leaving a weird, gloopy residue in my hair. By the end of the week, I was super flaky, which was a little disappointing.

I have natural 4B/4C hair, and this gel really impressed me. It gave my curls great definition for my natural curls without feeling crunchy or flaky. Even in humid weather, my hair stayed smooth with very little frizz. A little goes a long way, and the scent is nice too. I'll definitely keep this in my routine!

This gel works great! It gives my hair nice definition and helps control frizz, especially in humid weather. It holds well without making my hair feel too heavy. I would definitely buy it again.

I like this product. My curls were defined for a whole month. Be sure to wet your hair heavily so that the product can work the best. Once your hair needs a refresh, just wet it a bit. It'll look good as new!

I used this for a braid out, it left my hair feeling flaky and it was all over my shirt when I took my braids out. I will not purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the smell of this gel. It had an interesting, more liquid texture compared to the gels that I’m used to. I used it to add some definition to my braid-out. Honestly, I didn’t see much of a difference compared to my usual braid-out. It is possible I needed to use more product, but I used as much as I would use of any of my other gels, so it was a bit of a letdown. That said, it did still seem to work!
