Excellent series of an eccentric family learning about life on Corfu.

Magical
I am so addicted to this feel good series , it is full of quirky characters , it makes me laugh out loud , and the vibe of corfu in the 50,s really comes through , you can actually feel the heat and smell the dust as Spiro drives down the back country roads , every single character in this series is totally unique yet they all compliment each other beautifully . I am waiting with baited breath for series number three to arrive . Larry , the writer , quote , " Trying to be a writer is like laying down in the middle of the road and asking people to LOOK at you , i have just been run over ". unquote ...lol. BUY this series , you,l love it.

The Durrells in Corfu
I had seen the first season of the series on the local PBS station and enjoyed it very much. I sent it as a gift to my best friend (for fifty five years) who also raved about the characters, the plot, the setting, and the animals.
