The Elf on the Shelf: Scout Elves at Play - New Version

The rope and candy cane hooks, along with the suction cup boots were the highlight for us. They enabled lots of fun antics for the elf and lots of different things that could be done, (unlike the princess dress which only allowed the elf to stand on a flat surface).

Really happy with this addition to my 2 elves - the book has given us some great ideas on what to do with them each night, and the little attachments and extras make putting them into more fun and crazy poses super easy. Really happy! One nitpick - the book says it has over 100 days of ideas, but most of them are using the elves in different configurations with the same handful of new props - like "here's the elf pulling up a cookie with the hook" --- day 2: "Here's the elf pulling up a dog treat" --- Day 3: "here's the elf pulling up a gift from under the tree" --- and so on. Ultimately though, you'll get a ton of mileage from 4 main pieces: 1. The candy hook with rope attached. 2. The larger hook with rope attached. 3. The belt with suction cup attached - nice for sticking them to glass and windows 4. Boots with suction cups attached. If you need some creative ideas and want some practical extras to put your elves in crazier positions, this is a good buy.

haven't used it yet but ive opened it and scoped it out. there's so many ideas and props. every year so far has been difficult to come up with ideas every night, but this year is going to be so much easier. so glad i found this

This kit was a lifesaver for parents! It came with a ton of ideas and tools to help set up the elf. It comes with a little chair and a roll of red and white twine. The boots and hook really help with fun positions. I don't think I could have survived this holiday with out it. I hope they make another kit for next season.

Bought for my future grandchildren. I know that it will be a lot of fun for them because the whole concept of Elf on the Shelf is a Christmas wonder for children and can be fun for adults if they have the childlike wonder for Christmas. I wish it was around when my Son was young. I think all parents of young children should familiarize themselves with the Elf concept. So special.

This helps out so much. This just helps spark your creativity and helps make things easier. You dont have to keep ruining your elf with thumb tack holes!! To keep them hanging in certain positions. Love this. Will definitely add to this collection and buy more accessories

We used the grappling hook and string to attach the rod to ceiling fans and windows. We have used the chair to display him all over the house. They have a countdown Christmas sign as well. It's an adorable kit with a book full of ideas. Our elves are living it up this season. I definitely recommend.

The props are cute and fun. The book that comes with it has some good ideas for how to present the elf each day. If you're super creative with it, this kit is small, so you would want more props so it's not so repetitive. Suction boots and scavenger hunt card will make it super fun!

If you ever had the first kit, like I did, this kit will be disappointing. I did not realize, while labeled the same, some things are missing and some things are made of cardboard instead of the plastic they were previously made of. It is definitely made cheaper for the same price or higher, if I am recalling correctly. I also don't appreciate that the new bendy elves don't really go with some of the older elf products. There should be some compatibility information. This company amd these things have the pptential to be totally amazing and make even more money than they do. I feel they lack real mom testers. I know I am not the only one fighting with elf items at 10pm!

Cute in theory. But first the box is decked out in elf stuff, so I instantly have to throw it away to not give away the magic. Second anything “suction” doesn't suction. Like at all. The graphic hook is cute, and the book ideas are cute. The cards would also be cute if my kids were old enough so that will come in handy one day but again you could easily make those.
