The Exorcist III (Collector's Edition)

I was pleased to see this film for the first time in UHD. The format truly makes older films like this one shine, bringing one closer to the theater experience. The film itself is a favorite of mine, one I actually prefer to its prequels for the more subtle horror elements and more thought provoking themes. The delivery itself was exceptional with no issues, with the item enclosed in a sturdy cardboard mailer.

An awesomely made horror/supernatural movie with great performances by all involved. The theatrical cut is my preferred cut due to the addition of Miller's character from the first Excorcist. The 4K is definitely an upgrade from previous releases.

To me, this is almost as good as the first Exorcist movie; not quite but close. But it does look and sound sound better than the original Exorcist because I have that one on 4k too and this one has better audio and video. I looks and sounds amazing if you have a 4k tv and a decent sound bar setup.

You already know you love this film. You just want to know if the 4k restoration is beautiful and worth your dollars. It is. Get it. But let's address the "director's cut". It's a great addition to the set as a curiosity, but not necessarily a selling point. Don't expect quality to match the 4k presentation of the theatrical cut. It's on a 1080p disc, and the added and alternate scenes are sourced from VHS tape. The cuts between finished film elements and VHS are jarring. Again... it's for movie nerds, and I love that they included it, but the advertising may give the impression that the director's cut is a finished product, and it is not

very nice 4K release One of my favorite Exorcist movies was glad to see that it was three discs and includes the unrated director's cut which was originally called Legion.

Underrated and a great 4k

This movie is so underrated. The transfer looks great and so glad to finally have this in 4K.

Awesome service from Walmart!

The 4k disc includes the compromised theatrical cut, and it gets a nice presentation. Blatty's original cut, included on Blu-ray, is still a visual mixed bag, with the cut scenes sourced from a videotape. The movie itself is uneven, even in its original form, but that scene with... well, if you know, you know.
