The Fall Guy (Blu-ray + Digital Copy), Universal Studios, Action & Adventure

We saw this in the theater and absolutely loved it. However, I have a word of caution for anyone eyeing this version: while the Extended Cut obviously includes extra footage and scenes, at least one pivotal sequence was completely modified—featuring a different soundtrack selection and an altered sequence of events. In this instance, I'll be honest, I strongly preferred the original theatrical cut. It's a crucial moment in the storyline that originally used AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" as the backdrop for an awesome car drifting sequence, which fit the movie's high-energy vibe perfectly. This version swaps that track out for what sounds like an Italian love ballad, which felt completely out of place for both the scene and the film's overall tone. Fortunately, this change happens early on, and the rest of the movie felt untarnished by the extensions, which mostly consist of extra dialogue. Overall, "The Fall Guy" is fantastic. It's witty, clever, funny and packed with great action. The cinematography is excellent, the acting feels natural, and the rest of the soundtrack fits the film's emotional beats beautifully. While I highly recommend the movie itself, I'd probably suggest sticking to the original theatrical cut. Although most of the extended scenes add a bit of nuance, they don't offer much impact or additional insight into the actual story. Both versions are highly entertaining, but that one early soundtrack swap was impactful enough to make the theatrical version the superior experience for me.

A fun, inside look at the stunt profession through the vehicle of an action-comedy, romantic, mystery adaptation of a beloved 80's television show. Gosling and Blunt are fun to watch as they make they're way through this visually engaging action film from the creators of John Wick.

The film is a fine updated to todays darker/reality versions of shows today. It isn't "dark" perse, just more "real" than the light-hearted T.V. show of the mid to late 80's. The films transfer to a DVD/Blu-ray is top rated and very clear. The story is compact and harkens back to the spirit of the T,V, show, and the action sequences are top rate. The characters are believable and well-acted. All in all, a very good movie, original or re-boot. Highly recommend this film disc. Get one of your own today!!

This one made it to the best 10%, a great addition to my collection.

Excellent story for adults with tons of action and humor. Has a bit of a romantic feel with the story as well. Would highly recommend

I really loved this movie and wanted my own in-hand copy when it came out. I don't have to sit thru commercials to watch it and it's cheaper to buy with the digital code than buying thru streaming platforms or paying extra every month to exclude commercials. It's a one time purchase and I'm happy it's still available these days.

Thought it was a great popcorn movie
