The Grand Budapest Hotel
It worked great for me. I loved the combination old fashion filming techniques...the great story telling...it harkened back to the 30's. But you have to pay attention. It seems to be slap-stick without the slap. Not what you expect after seeing movies like the great gadspy or action films...cute, funny, had my attention and I enjoyed it immensely,

Failed Comedy
I didn't enjoy this film at all. This movie is a satirical farce that has probably missed its mark. I gave it 2 stars because we don't all see the world from the same perspective. What kind of comedy does the viewer seek: slap stick, raunchy, straight man, middle of the road, etc.? If you're a fan of Ben Stiller or Adam Sandler type of farce comedy, you might enjoy this DVD.

Disappointed
Wish we had talked with someone who had seen this movie to have a better idea of what to expect. Probably would not have ordered it... My husband was born and raised near Budapest, and we had higher expectations!
