I really enjoyed this book. Love the characters in it, the story-line, the message it brings. Can't help but falling in love with this book. Just keep thinking about all the characters and what's next for them......so glad I picked it up!
I have to say this is one of the best books I've read lately. I was laughing out loud over the pie! Other parts were hilarous too! I would recomend this book to anyone.
Absolutely love the book was in great condition
I didn't understand the title before i read this book, but after reading The Help you begin to understand the deep meaning behind these words. You find yourself taken back to a time when there were certain things you just did, or did not do! It enlightened and entertained me ! I loved every minute I was reading this book!
I really enjoyed the story. The author wrote characters that you grew to love (and a few that you would you will do anything but). A realistic look into race relations in the 1960s. I would definitely recommend this book to others.
I love this book! The characters are so rich and interesting. I have the hard back and CD version for my commute to work. It took place in such an interesting, but explosive time in our history. I would stop and wonder, "Did that really happen in my lifetime?" Yes, it did and the stories made me laugh and cry. I have vivid images of each of the characters and I hope the upcoming movie doesn't dissappoint.
There is a reason this book is at the top of the New York Times best seller list - it's a great book. Set in Mississippi in the early 60's, this book is about segregation and the struggles of a number of women who are affected by it. It is smart, funny and the characters will become like friends (well most anyway) by the end of the book. An interesting look at a turbulent time in our country's history.
Loved the movie so ordered the book.
This book was recommended by so many people so I decided to read it. I have not been able to put it down since it arrived in the mail. The book was five dollars cheaper to order online than to purchase in the store. Even with the shipping cost I still saved the cost of a gallon of gas. I was disappointed that the book did not arrived as promise by the shipping guidelines.
this book IS a must read, I couldnt put it down.
