Great storyline of an epic historical event and tragedy. visually well done. would recommend it if you like history and/or action movies.
The DVD arrived on time and in good condition. Good movie.
The Hindenburg movie is one of those classic movies with suspense, human consideration and aviation, all rolled into one vintage video. It is worth watching more than once. A great production.
Exellent
Good plot based on one of the several views of the disaster.
George C. Scott was one of the most powerful, intelligent actors to ever hit the big screen and ranks up at the top of the actors of his generation. I have never seen him give anything less than an outstanding performance and he could elevate any film that he was in just by walking onto the set. Whether as a star in Patton or Islands in the Stream or as a character actor in his early days in The Hustler and Dr. Strangelove, he was truly one of a kind. The Hindenburg gives him an excellent opportunity to anchor what is basically a whodunit set on the ill-fated Zeppelin's final voyage. He plays a German intelligent agent who has been assigned to ferret out a saboteur who plans on destroying the airship. Anne Bancroft and Burgess Meredith lend excellent support in the cast along with William Atherton in one of his first roles. The dependable veteran director Robert Wise does his usual quality work behind the camera and the special effects still hold up well today despite the lack of any CGI technology to help recreate the spectacle. This fictional account of the Hindenburg's final days makes for a great mystery thriller. Recommended.
Liked the movie but looks like it was copied from a vhs tape, grainy, vudu has hdx, much better.
Considered a disaster movie the disaster doesn't happen until the very end of the movie, no sense apprehension there. All the German charters had no German accent in their dialog so it was like watching an American airship crew. And as Hollywood does they took liberty with the cause of the disaster claiming sabotage which has never been proven.
