So far, nothing wrong with the functionality of pics. But the advertising is clearly and intentionally misleading. As a busy shopper who read too quickly, I missed the fact that these are ONLY partially plant product. It's not until the box arrives that you can see. It's just over 50% plant. The rest, presumably, is some type of plastic, which is exactly what buyers who choose this product because it's “vegan“ and “plant based dental floss“ are looking to avoid.
None of the pictures in the advertisements posted on the Walmart website show the percentage of plastic. The language in the description glosses over the fact that it's “less” not zero plastic, emphasizing instead “unlike 100% plastic floss pics, these floss pics are made with better ingredients.“
And nowhere does it state that these are fully biodegradable, something I missed until the box arrived and the percentage plant was revealed, prompting me to re-read the online description more closely.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice. … not going to happen.
