The Hunt for Red October

Another master piece with Sean Connery. That man is talented and so gorgeous, just love his beard. His charm flawless. Awesome actor. I tremendously enjoy the movie plot. Watched it multiple times already. I'm in Ahh. You won't regret buying it, honestly.

Sean Connery is/was such an excellent actor...to perfection. Everything comes to life under his watch. James Earl Jones role was TOO small while Alex Baldwin rocked in his role. Very suspenseful!

I can't begin to count the number of times I have watched this movie on TV throughout the years. I recall seeing this movie at Wal-Mart in the past and failed to purchase it until now... online. This is an excellent movie based on the Tom Clancy novel with an all star cast such as Sean Connery, Alec Baldwin, Scott Glenn, Sam Neil, Fred Thompson and James Earl Jones to name a few. The movie is directed by John McTiernan ( Die Hard, Predator, Die Hard: With a Vengeance ). The Soviets build and launch a new superior nuclear submarine under the Command of Captain Marko Ramius ( Sean Connery ). British intelligence provide the CIA with pictures of the new sub before she is launched and there is concern over what is believed to be some sort of doors. Before launching, Captain Ramius writes a letter to one of his superiors. The contents of that letter causes the Soviet Union to launch its Naval and Air commands to find and sink the Red October. At the same time, the U.S. has reason to believe the Red October is headed towards its coast to launch a nuclear strike. Only 1 CIA agent ( Alec Baldwin ) believes Ramius is heading to the U.S. coastline for reasons other than delivering a pre-emptive nuclear strike. To be sure, { Baldwin } must set out and reach the Red October before the Soviet Navy and Air commands find her and sink her and before she penetrates too far into U.S. territory and is attacked. If you enjoy movies such as The Sum of All Fears and Crimson Tide, you will enjoy this movie.

This was a truly a "nuclear submarines in action" movie. I wish it had been longer and more involved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The actors were perfectly chosen.

A Soviet Sub Commander is taking a new design propulsion submarine on a test run, and finds that he and his crew become the hunted! There are plots behind the scenes as the 'Cat and Mouse' chase comes to a climax. Will the Sub and crew survive? A good action/adventure movie with suspense and underwater chase scenes. You will recognize many of the cast members from other films. Give it a try!
