When putting on a bottle, insert straight into the hole (mouth) of the bottle then use your body weight to push in one side and then the other (180 degrees away). Don't try to push the top in with just hand pressure, lean into it and use your body weight.

I've purchased other caps for my water bottles that did not fit well and would fall off. The screw caps work well, but only with screw type open bottles. These are great because they work with ANY type of bottle. And they are snug and stay on even when the bottle tilts on its side.

carry full 5 gallon water jugs by the handle with no worries of leaking. just make sure the cap is all the way in. these can come off if the jug hits the floor hard enough but most of the time even falling over will not pop the lid off. i have 9 of these on jugs we have been using daily for about a year. necessity if you don't have running water.

I was looking at theses caps for a while and after struggling with broken and caps that were difficult to remove I finally caved and purchased these caps. I'm so glad I did as they are so much more easier to remove and they also slide on easily and securely.
