Worth every penny. The images are so clear that you can see the patterns woven into each garment and the sound is incredible. 4K Blu-ray and a 4K tv with full surround sound is amazing. The difference between 4K Blu-ray is as significant as the difference was between DVD and Blu-ray. I still have a library on Fandango at Home, which is great, but it's no match for the 4K discs.
I had the DVD extended versions, but I wasn't sure how they would look at 4k. Some older films really look bad on 4k HDR but these were exceptionally good. They were as clear a more modern film like Ready Player 1. Plus you get the extended version and regular release. I've only watched a few hours of the fellowship but it's been like seeing in a theatre again.
Love the movies and am glad I got 4k versions of them. MakeMKV read them without any trouble. This does not include the special behind-the-scenes features on how they made the movies. This does not include regular blu-ray discs. These are only 4k discs so you must have a player that supports 4k (your average blu-ray player cannot read these discs).
I just watched The Lord of the Rings 4K Trilogy, and wow—it's incredible. The remastered visuals are stunning. Dolby Vision and HDR make the dark, atmospheric scenes pop, and the Dolby Atmos sound is so immersive. Everything looks and sounds better than ever. Easily one of the best 4K upgrades I've seen—worth it!
The full versions are a significant amount of quality content compared to the theatrical versions.
I purchased this film collection and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the discs themselves. however the outer packaging was not as advertised by the purchase page, and did not come with the outer sleeve. this is unfortunate... I purchased it specifically for my collection which all came in the appropriate packaging.
This does not include blu-ray discs as the title suggests
just pick it up at the store. they mailed it in an envelope and it was smashed like crazy. we live 2 towns over from the home of WM, wouldnt trust longer travel.
Excellent collection. Opened it two days after receiving it and the digital codes were already expired. A waste.
the case came broken and the discs were scratched. the outer slip case was also torn up, i would've been better off buying this used
